Valve Has Increased Steam Deck’s Production So You Can Get Yours Soon

When a console as powerful and flexible as the Steam Deck that pushes through the frontiers of the handheld industry rolls out, it is bound to attract gamers like bees to a honeypot.

As a result, it has not been easy to get for a huge horde of gamers to get their hands on this portable powerhouse. The Deck, so far, is shipped at specified intervals in a week and is only available to customers fiddling their thumbs in what seems like a never-ending queue.

Seeing how desperate gamers are to obtain the Steam Deck, Valve must have worked hard behind the scenes as it has announced that more units of the handheld are on the way.

Valve announced that it is ramping up Steam Deck’s production and consequently, will be shipping “more than double the number of Steam Decks every week” from today. The company further revealed that it will be begining its Q3 order queue ahead of schedule by sending reservation emails on June 30.

When the Steam Deck was launched back in February, Valve promised that the console’s production would steadily pick up as the company scaled up operations all round the factory and the supply chain issues diminished. Therefore, it’s good see Valve stay true to its word by finding the production capacity it needed to ship the Deck at a higher pace.

With this being said, Valve also confirmed that the last of the Q2 emails have been sent out. If you are still waiting on your Q2 reservation email, the company says its forthcoming. In the meantime, you can check the status of your preorder, login to your account, and head to this page

Moreover, if you are to reserve Steam Deck now, you’ll have to cool your heels till at least October to obtain it.
