Genshin Impact’s Update 1.5 is Here Along with the Game’s PS5 Version

As promised and right on schedule, Mihoyo has dropped Update 1.5 for Genshin Impact along with the RPG’s PlayStation 5 version. The update comes with a whole bunch of new changes and additions that are bound to make the game an even more attractive buy.

From all the new content pieces coming to the game, the one that is of most significance is the Serenitea Pot. The Serenitea Pot let players create their own realms and abodes i.e., their own private areas that they can decorate as per their fancy.

These areas act as the player’s home bases and can be furnished using materials found all over Teyvat. This feature also brings the Teapot Spirit, a spirit that resides within a teapot (of course) and acts as the player’s butler in their realm. Notably, as the player increases their Trust Rank with the Teapot Spirit, they can get various rewards.

The update will also introduce two new characters to the game: Eula and Yanfie. Eula is a 5-star Cyro character whose weapon-of-choice is a Claymore and who is described as a “scion of the old aristocracy”. They are also a member of the Knights of Favonius. Yanfie, a 4-star Pyro character, is a Catalyst wielder who is described as “a brilliant young lady in whose veins runs the blood of an illuminated beast.”

Sadly, neither Eula or Yanfie have a new weapon and element combination. But the update is bringing new weapons for players to choose along with recipes, monsters, artifacts, quests, and domains for the player to complete. Fan favourite character Zhongli is also getting a new story quest titled Historia Antiqua Chapter – Act II “No Mere Stone”.

Clearly, there’s a lot to unpack in Update 1.5. The ability to create new domains is of particular importance here as it is bound to prompt players to undertake more exploration and also push them to be creative. Another highlight is the 3 new monsters that players will get to fight once they install the update. Nothing like some new foes to get the excitement flowing.
