Battlefield 6 Reveal Delayed According to Insider Reports

Industry insiders believe that Battlefield 6, which was apparently due an official reveal this month, will now be revealed later down the line at a currently unspecified date. The reasons for the delay are conflicting but the general consensus is that the game will not be announced this month.

According to Tom Henderson, a well-known Battlefield leaker who regularly posts updates about the upcoming shooter on Twitter, the reason for the delay was the recently reported incident which involved the debris of a Chinese missile heading towards Earth.

Henderson said that a similar incident takes place in the game’s trailer where a rocket explodes and kills a few soldiers, so releasing the trailer with the Chinese missile on the horizon (literally) would be in bad taste. Thankfully, the missile fell into the Indian Ocean and no casualties were reported.

The delay was also confirmed on Twitter by Jeff Grub from GamesBeat – who had incidentally pointed towards the initial May reveal – in his updated Games Mess list. He also said that he expects the reveal to come later this month or early next month but neither agreed with Henderson’s theory for the delay nor did he provide his own theories for the same.

Plenty of unconfirmed news for Battlefield 6 has been coming through the grapevine throughout the course of this year. So much that even the game’s developers had to get involved to set things straight. One of these unconfirmed updates have also outlined that a range of natural disasters like tsunamis and earthquakes will be a part of Battlefield 6’s maps.

A few potential screenshots of the game also leaked on Reddit recently and if you’re looking to get a peek in, go on and click on the button below.
