Stuck on Bronze 5 Tier Bug Fix—Overwatch 2

In Overwatch 2, another bug has been reported by a player which prevents players from ranking up from Bronze to Gold. Due to this bug, some players are stuck in the Bronze 5 tier, preventing them from ranking up further. Players are frustrated due to the fact that no matter how many matches they win or lose, they’re still stuck on Bronze 5 tier.

The bug was reported by a user on Reddit in the r/overwatch2 subreddit. Check out the Reddit post below:

For ranking up in Overwatch 2, players need to complete multiple matches. Players must win at least 7 times and lose at least 20 times. Players will receive their ranking only when they’ve won at least 7 matches. Bronze rank is the lowest rank in the game for players with skill ratings of 1 to 1,499 which is essentially for beginners.

Unfortunately, there is no fix for this bug in Overwatch 2 as of yet. Details are fuzzy about what exactly is causing the issue. Thankfully, Blizzard has acknowledged the bug and is currently working on a patch to fix it. Until then, do not try anything until a fix comes out.

In addition to being unable to rank up from Bronze 5 tier, players are also unable to group with other players of the same skill level. This bug has affected players of all tiers. These bugs are affecting competitive play in a huge way, and are also affecting the SR system.

Hopefully, Blizzard will solve the issue as soon as possible and players will be able to rank up from Bronze 5 tier.
