Battlefield 6 Reveal Confirmed for June 9

After a ridiculous amount of speculation, rumor-mongering, and an apparent delay, there is finally a confirmed date and time for the reveal of Battlefield 6, or whatever it ends up being called on release.

The game’s official Twitter account shared a 10-second teaser of the game, which included a logo and the reveal date and time. On Wednesday, June 9, at 7 am PT, fans will be able to tune in to a digital event that will showcase the latest installment in the long-running series. Nothing is known about the game’s setting at the moment, but seeing the creative treatment of the teaser, one could hazard a few guesses.

The Battlefield logo in the teaser is presented in a very glitchy and digital tone, pointing to a current or futuristic setting. However, it’s more likely that it will be the latter, as recent rumors have pointed to that. Even potential screenshots that leaked last month showcased a setting that one could argue is modern and futuristic, so fans can count on Battlefield 6 throwing you forward in time.

Another thing to consider in the teaser is the title. It has been suggested before that the new game might not be called Battlefield 6 at all; it will simply go by Battlefield. If the final logo in the teaser is anything to go by, it seems that those rumors could be right on the money.

As for features, game mechanics, and other details, there are a few confirmed developments and plenty of rumors to consider. EA and DICE have confirmed that the game will take great advantage of new-gen consoles and will be a cross-gen title.

On the other hand, the rumor mill points to many supposed details. For instance, the game will have natural disaster mechanics and will arrive on Xbox Game Pass on day one. There is also a rumor that the game won’t have a story mode, but that does sound a little bit ridiculous.

It will be interesting to see whether the June 9 reveal will confirm these rumors and which ones will turn out to be true. Like always, it’s all about waiting, except this time, thankfully, there’s a confirmed date that we can mark on our calendars.
