The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is currently at its peak. In the previous chapter, Yuji was reawakened during his ongoing battle with Sukuna. Fans were eager to learn more about Yuji’s powers in chapter 257. However, based on the spoilers, this reveal won’t happen.
Instead, chapter 257 promises to be eventful, with the potential for one of the biggest reveals in the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
Yuji is the Child of Sukuna’s Reincarnated Twin
In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257, Sukuna engages in a conversation with Uraume in a flashback concerning Yuji’s birth and Kenjaku’s decision to choose him.
Sukuna discloses that he consumed his twin brother while in the womb. Leaks suggested that Kenjaku used this soul to create Yuji, but recent translations indicate that the soul eventually reincarnated as Jin Itadori, Yuji’s father.
This implies that Jin Itadori and Sukuna are twins, making Sukuna Yuji’s uncle. Uraume queries whether this means Yuji Itadori has the same potential as Sukuna.
The Battle Between Yuji and Sukuna Continues
The spotlight shifts to the battle where Yuji and Sukuna face each other. Yuji launches several Black Flash attacks at the King of Curses, hitting him twice more and bringing his total to three. The fight continues as Yuji employs Dismantle to cut through a pillar and hurl it at Sukuna.
Sukuna retaliates using Slash, but Yuji manages to avoid the attack and lands a fourth Black Flash attack. Although Sukuna is surprised that Yuji has mastered his abilities so quickly, he believes their differences still exist due to their birth era.
Ino Joins the Battle
During a flashback, Ino asks Gojo for permission to use Nanami’s Cursed Tool. Gojo tells Ino that Nanami trusted him the most and would allow him to use it.
Now, Ino joins the battle against Sukuna. He attacks him with his dragon-summoning ability, but it is ultimately destroyed by Sukuna. Ino is then captured by the King of Curses, but he senses that Yuji is about to make a move.
Yuji lands another precise Black Flash on Sukuna, which makes him worried. Sukuna quickly recovers and punches Yuji, but he is counterattacked and knocked back against a wall. Yuji lands yet another Black Flash on Sukuna, and despite having his face grabbed and slashed, he still manages to use another.
The chapter concludes with Yuji circling behind Sukuna, who is screaming in pain. He then delivers one final Black Flash, the eighth one in the fight.
