Kotaro accidentally killed Maimai Yuzuriha by causing her to slip as he loses his grip on a bar of soap. He then introduced Maimai as Franchouchou’s seventh member.
Kotaro requested Maimai to keep their zombie identity a secret, to which she agreed.
Maimai arranged for Franchouchou to perform live at her school by suggesting them to Saga’s South Carnival’s Executive committee.
Maimai danced with Franchouchou and announced that she would graduate from Franchouchou. She sang ‘Into the Light’ as her last song.

1. Episode 8 Preview & Speculation
Of course, Kotaro’s first thought after killing someone by accident is to turn that person into a new Franchouchou member. I knew that she wouldn’t be a part of the group because she isn’t a zombie, but the graduation scene made me emotional.
I find it interesting that Okoba couldn’t find an article on Tae. Considering that Tae’s body is covered with bandages and how her body tends to fall apart easily, she probably died rather violently, which I assumed would’ve been covered in the news.
We are finally getting the Yugiri episode next week!
2. Episode 8 Release Date
Episode of the Zombieland Saga Revenge (2021) anime has been released on Thursday, May 27, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 7 Recap
Maimai Yuzuriha accidentally trips over and cracks her eyeglasses. Later she goes to a public bathhouse and mistakenly enters the men’s bath, where Kotaro is taking a bath. Kotaro accidentally causes Yuzuriha to slip as he loses his grip on the soap.
At the mansion, Tatsumi introduces Maimai as Franchouchou’s No. 7th member. When the girls ask him about the cause of her death, Kotaro angrily shouts that he didn’t kill her. Suddenly, Maimai’s corpse wakes up and starts running around.
Tae removes the bandage from Maimai’s head, causing Maimai to see Franchouchou’s true identity as zombies.
Maimai says that she recognizes Franchouchou and says that she is a fan. Yugiri suggests that they should kill Maimai but realizes soon that it is not possible. Tatsumi requests Maimai to keep their zombie identity a secret, to which she agrees. Maimai returns home after that.
The following morning, Maimai skips her school to see Franchouchou. She finds it difficult to dance to Franchouchou’s songs, but she is willing to continue practicing to become Franchouchou No. 7 as soon as possible.
While on their way home with Sakura and her pet dog Romero, Maimai tells Sakura how Franchouchou changed Saga. She even mentions the Ekimae Stadium.
At Maimai’s school, with the Saga’s South Carnival’s Executive committee running out of ideas for the next event, Maimai suggests the idea that Franchouchou performs live at her school. Kotaro agrees to this.
A day before the live performance, Franchouchou explores the school. While separated from the group, Sakura tells Maimai about her high school life, how her life ended even before she could attend any auditions.
On the day of the performance, Maimai appears in the center of the stage and dances with Franchouchou. After the performance, Maimai announces that she will graduate from Franchouchou and sings ‘Into the Light as her last song. As the performance ends, Maimai gives Saki her colorful cellular device.
Kotaro apologizes to Maimai for killing her, but she replies that it was her own carelessness. She assures Kotaro that she will continue to keep the group’s real identity a secret. The girls wave goodbye as they head back home. Maimai places the microphone back on the stage and leaves.
4. About ZOMBIE LAND SAGA
Zombie Land Saga is an original TV animation produced by the joint collaboration between MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames. Season 1 of the anime made in 2018 ran for 12 episodes and also paved way for a manga series.
The story is about Sakura and how her dream of becoming an idol soon comes to an end after being hit by a truck.
Finding herself in an unknown world, she later comes to know that she was resurrected as a zombie by a man named Koutarou.
