Catwoman Gets Her Own Twitter Emoji Ahead of The Batman’s Release

Ever since it was announced that Zoë Kravitz had landed the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, fans couldn’t be more stoked.

Even the skeptical, overly critical fans among the lot knew Kravitz was a perfect fit (I mean… have you seen that woman?)

When Warner Bros. dropped The Bat and The Cat trailer, it was evident that Seline won’t just be a meddling side character but will have a prominent role in the story.

Ahead of the film’s release in less than a month, new promotional material is pouring in like “cats and bats.” One of the latest updates is Catwoman’s own Twitter emoji. The emoji linked to the hashtag #Catwoman is an illustration of the character’s face with her iconic mask on.

The hashtag for #TheBatman has a red Bat-Symbol, and now that Catwoman has her emoji, there’s no doubt that Riddler is bound to get his own soon, probably a question mark in a target.

This is a common trend for movies and shows with an enormous following and hype – the main characters or logos often have unique emojis attached to their relevant hashtags for a specific period, usually around their premieres.

However, that’s not all. Catwoman is about to get her own theme song too. In a recent tweet, WaterTower Music teased that the next theme by Michael Giacchino to be released would be of Catwoman.

While speaking to Total Film, Kravitz stated that her take on the character would be different than the ones before,

To see a person like Selina really get in touch with her power and become Catwoman? That’s a journey that I’m really interested in exploring. We haven’t quite seen that yet. We usually meet Catwoman, and it’s either a very quick transformation – an overnight thing – or she’s already there. And so to find the emotional journey that brings her to the place where she is making the choice to be this person, is what I’m really excited about.

Rest assured, we will get to see a lot more of Catwoman. After all, she has nine lives; it’d be a shame to let them go to waste.
