Yuuta Is Safe and Sound: Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 269 Raw Scans

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is now nearing its much-anticipated conclusion, with just three chapters remaining for the finale. Chapter 268 of Jujutsu Kaisen ended with Sukuna’s death, Megumi’s return, and, all in all, a good conclusion to the Shinjuku showdown arc. The main trio is back together and Uraume also died.

The one catch in the previous chapter was when Itadori suddenly went serious toward the end and said they had to save Yuuta. The chapter came to a close over here with a horrible cliffhanger. However, the leaks from the latest chapter have revealed that Yuuta is A-Ok. Here’s a summary of the upcoming chapter.

How Yuuta is Still Alive

The chapter began with Maki grilling on Yuuta for something. This is when Itadori, Megumi, and Nobara walked in. Megumi apologized for everything he had caused them, and they were asked not to worry about it and just act like regular children.

After this, Itadori asked how Yuuta returned to his body. This is when Yuuta explained that partway between Yuuta’s possession of Gojo’s body, Rika left him. This had him worried, however, the fact was that Rika actually returned to Yuuta’s original body, healed it, and maintained it such that Yuuta could return to it anytime.

Higuruma is Still Alive!

After Yuuta’s reveal, the group went into a discussion about the previous battle and how it would’ve gone better if Yuuta managed things better. Maki explained that Higuruma’s executioner’s blade and Inumaki’s recorded cursed speech was a good combo that would’ve ended the fight way sooner.

However, only one voice recorder can be used, and this recorder was with Yuuta, who wasn’t present at the correct time. Inumaki expressed his relief, considering the fact that Sukuna wasn’t at full power when he used his technique or the backlash would’ve killed him.

After this, Hirguruma was also revealed to have a few injuries. He said the only reason he survived was because Sukuna wasn’t taking the battle seriously. Hearing this, Kusakabe expressed his shock at the fact that someone who had been a sorcerer for just two months had managed to survive the battle against Sukuna.

Reflections on the Battle

While Maki was busy calling Yuuta out for all his faults, Itadori tried to support him by saying that Yuuta’s cursed tools came in handy in his fight. After this, Todo expressed his regret as he couldn’t save Choso and Itadori from within Sukuna’s domain. He explained that Sukuna’s cursed energy was simply too strong that he couldn’t detect other energies.

Maki, too, admitted that Yuuta doesn’t deserve all the blame, as she went out of commission because she took on two black flashes from Sukuna. Hakari said he had planned on joining their fight as well, but Uraume was too much of a handful.

How Did Yuuji Learn the Simple Domain?

Yuuji suddenly being able to use the simple domain came off as quite a shock in the manga. The explanation for this has now been revealed. Apparently, the head of the new shadow style invited disciples to join them, and only these people were taught the techniques. However, this came at the cost of their lifespan due to a binding vow.

Since only the head of the New Shadow Style was capable of removing this binding vow, and the identity of this head was a mystery, learning a simple domain technique without risks was really difficult. Conveniently, when Mei Mei received the whereabouts of the head from Tengen right before the fight with Sukuna, she went ahead and killed him and made Kusakabe the new head of the New Shadow style.

Kusakabe removed any restrictions on the learning of the simple domain, and hence no more life force would be drained out of anyone who tried to learn it. Hence, even Itadori could use it in his battle against Sukuna.
