Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are expressing their disappointment with the current storyline and are calling for a break for Gojo. Currently, Yuta has taken control of Gojo’s body and is on the brink of facing off against Sukuna. The previous chapter concluded with both characters activating their domains, and the upcoming chapter 262 will pick up from there.
Chapter 262 is scheduled for release on June 10, 2024. However, spoilers have already surfaced, hinting at a shocking twist towards the end.
Gojo (Yuta) vs Sukuna 2.0
The chapter kicks off with Sukuna and Yuta activating their respective domains. Yuta successfully shrinks the Unlimited Void’s barrier to the size of a tiny basketball, just like how Gojo did. The narrator explains that Gojo’s solution for Sukuna’s open barrier domain is to create a small barrier domain capable of withstanding the Malevolent Shrine for about 3 minutes.
Yuta believes that considering Sukuna’s fatigue, he can endure his domain for three minutes, just like Gojo-sensei. The narrator also highlights that Sukuna has narrowed the effective Cursed Technique range to only surround Yuta’s barrier and removed the 99-second time limit of the Malevolent Shrine.
Spoilers show Sukuna cunningly narrowing down the effective range of his domain to target only Yuta’s barrier, enhancing its potency and removing the usual time constraint. There is no time limit this time. Sukuna aims to defeat Yuta first and then widen the range to eliminate everyone else nearby.
Yuta didn’t anticipate this, as he hoped to conclude the battle within five minutes. He is unsure what will unfold after five minutes, making him uncertain about the situation.
Sukuna Overpowers Yuta
Yuta attempts to drag Sukuna with Blue, but Sukuna suddenly closes the distance. He tangles Yuta with his amputated arms and delivers a punch to his face. Yuta admires how Sukuna executed that attack and realizes that Sukuna used Domain Amplification in addition to Domain Expansion to break through Infinity, enabling him to strike Yuta.
With an evil grin, Sukuna believes that the sorcerers cannot communicate about the events inside the domain using Mei Mei’s crows. The chapter concludes with Yuta’s lifeless body held by his cursed spirit, Rika. With Yuta’s control over Gojo’s body reaching its time limit, the fate of both characters remains unknown.
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 is one of the shortest chapters fans have ever seen, consisting of only seven pages. Adding to the disappointment, the manga will go on a two-week hiatus after the release of chapter 262 due to Gege falling sick.
