Yuri!!! on ICE Season 2 – Release Date, Teaser, Visual, Movie & Other Updates

Season 1 of Yuri On Ice aired quite some time ago and the finale episode dropped in December 2016.

1. Season 2 Release Date

Yuri!!! on ICE Season 2 is probably gonna be released in the fall of 2020.

In season 2, Yuri will be trained by a Russian figure-skating champion named Victor Nikiforov. While Season 2 is confirmed, it doesn’t have any official release date.

The series finale is expected to release in Fall 2020, but the way things are right now due to the coronavirus pandemic, expect the series to get delayed to mid-2021.

2. Season 2 Episode Count

Season 2 will have a total of 13 episodes. MAPPA studios are currently working with another anime called Ifavoritecence, this is causing delay to Season 2 of Yuri!!! on ICE.

6. Yuri!!! on ICE Movie

Yuri!!! on ICE – Yuri x Victor — the movie of Yuri!!! on ICE was scheduled for Fall 2019. However, there has been no updates on the matter since then.

The announcement regarding the postponement came later, which announced that the movie will be rescheduled for 2020 to allow for the movie production team to add more content. For now, the only information released officially only postponed it for 2020.

Reeling from his crushing defeat at the Grand Prix Finale, Yuuri Katsuki, once Japan’s most promising figure skater, returns to his family home to assess his options for the future. At age 23, Yuuri’s window for success in skating is closing rapidly, and his love of pork cutlets and aptitude for gaining weight are not helping either.

However, Yuri finds himself in the spotlight when a video of him performing a routine previously executed by five-time world champion, Victor Nikiforov, suddenly goes viral. In fact, Victor himself abruptly appears at Yuuri’s house and offers to be his mentor. As one of his biggest fans, Yuuri eagerly accepts, kicking off his journey to make it back onto the world stage. But the competition is fierce, as the rising star from Russia, Yuri Plisetsky, is relentlessly determined to defeat Yuuri and win back Victor’s tutelage.
