Yowamushi Pedal’s fifth season began with high spirits and energy as it marked the final day of Inter High.
The 42nd Summer Inter High is a big deal for Sohoku High as it is the final race for the third-year seniors. As the last day’s race began, Sohoku soon realized that this race was going to take a lot more than just hard work to win.
Sohoku and Hakone have always been in a neck-to-neck rivalry, and this race is one of those deciding factors to prove who is the best. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit more to see who comes out victorious.
NHK has revealed that ‘Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break’ is going on a one-week break due to a rugby match broadcast. The anime’s 6th episode, ‘The End of the Flat Road,’ will now air on November 20 instead of November 13.

This delay is frustrating for many reasons, the biggest one being the epic race between Sohoku’s Kaburagi and Hakone’s Doubashi.
After Aoyagi Hajime drops out with an emotional goodbye and gives 110% to his last ride, he passes on the responsibility to Kaburagi. It’s now on the first year’s shoulders to make the team catch up to Hakone and snatch the victory.
However, the biggest hurdle standing in front of Kaburagi is Hakone’s Doubashi. Through this tournament, the two have formed a highly competitive rivalry, and Climber’s Checkpoint is the deciding factor between them.
As Kaburagi gives his all to push through, his leg cramps up. Kaburagi’s supportive seniors pull up to help him recover without losing the team’s pace.
While being thankful for his senpai, Kaburagi is now even more determined to lead the team to victory.
Episode 6 will reveal who is better between, Kaburagi or Doubashi, while the others get closer to the finish line.
It might look like a long wait for such an exhilarating cliffhanger, but it will pass before you know it.
