Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break Enters Second Part – Theme Songs Revealed!

Sakamichi Onoda’s cycling journey continues as Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break is still ongoing. The Sohoku High School team has come a long way and we hope to see them at the top beating all the odds.

On Friday, TOHO animation released a new trailer for the second part of Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break, the fifth season of the series. The video previews the upcoming events and the new theme songs for the second part.

Novelbright has performed the opening song “Last Scene” and Daiki Yamashita and Yusuke Saeki have performed the ending song “Action”.

The fifth season aired on NHK on October 9 and will enter its second part on January 29, from the fourteenth episode. Crunchyroll simulcasts the series on its platform.

The main staff returns for Limit Break, as Osamu Nabeshima continues to direct the series, with TMS Entertainment as the production studio. Kurasumi Sunayama is composing the scripts. Yukiko Ban and Hiroyuki Horiuchi are designing the characters and bicycles respectively. Kan Sawada is handling the music.

Yowamushi Pedal is based on Wataru Watanabe’s manga. The first season aired in 2013, with the second season ‘Grande Road’ airing in 2014. Season 3, titled ‘New Generation’ aired in 2017, followed by ‘Glory line’ in 2018. Crunchyroll simulcasted all four seasons.

About Yowamushi Pedal

Wataru Watanabe’s Yowamushi Pedal manga started serializing in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion in 2008 and is currently compiled into 80 volumes. The story revolves around an Otaku, Sakamichi Onoda who joins a bicycle racing club at Sohoku High when some of his classmates notice his skill on a ‘Mommy Bike’.

Sakamichi’s love for anime and games knows no bounds as he makes a 60 mile round trip to and from Tokyo’s Akihabara shopping district daily after school. His life changes for the better when he encounters his high school’s cycling team and joins them to take part in competitive cycling.

The wildly popular manga has around 65 million copies in circulation currently and has been adapted into several anime movies, a live-action TV program, and fourteen stage plays.
