Things were going smoothly for George Jr. and Mandy, but Andy and Jim ensured that they lasted for a short while. After an awkward interaction with her parents, Georgie tries to make amends with them, but that only infuriates Mandy, and honestly? We’re on her side!
Why can’t she have any say in making up with the parents that abandoned her after she decided to keep a baby out of wedlock? Meanwhile, Missy’s misstep helps Sheldon when a comic database idea turns into a helpful idea, which President Hagemeyer plans to exploit.
Episode 8 Synopsis/Speculation
Sheldon’s database invention puts him at odds with the university; the church takes issue with Meemaw’s video store.
Mandy’s father certainly wants to patch things up with his daughter, but Andy’s stubbornness is just like her daughter’s. But since only two episodes are left in this season, we’re guessing things will take a turn for the better in the next episode.
Sheldon’s bright idea’s brilliance might put him in a more challenging spot if the upcoming episode’s synopsis is to be believed. But we’ll have to wait a while to know how exactly that’ll unfold.
Meemaw’s video store and illegal poker business have been doing well so far, but the trouble was bound to find its way to her too. In the next episode, we’ll see a few fights between Meemaw and the church about her shady business.

Episode 7 Recap
Mandy and Georgie head out to a “non-date” dinner but bump into Mandy’s parents. One awkward interaction later, we see her father might be open to conversation, but her mother is still enraged.
Meanwhile, Sheldon finds he is missing one comic from his collection, but when he goes to pick it up from the store, Missy informs him it’s already been sold. Sheldon tracks down the customer and mingles with a fellow albeit adult geek, and they strike a deal – Sheldon gets the comic he wants if he helps Nathan find the one he wants.
Georgie meets Mandy’s parents behind her back and tries to patch things up, but his mother puts a wrench in it. Mandy confronts him later, but when Georgie comments about her stubbornness being just like her mother’s, she storms off.
Later, Georgie apologizes, and her father comes to make amends, but she says that’s only possible when they apologize to her. Once again, the same kind of comment, this time from her father, has her walking away in a huff.
Sheldon’s comic search leads to an idea about creating a comic database, and he presents it to the comic store owner. After his permission, Nathan and the Cooper twins do the inventory, but Missy leaves halfway. Sheldon’s database idea transforms into one for grants, and he leaves the store to Nathan and rushes off to college.
Sheldon explains his concept to President Hagemeyer, who decides this is the perfect opportunity to make some money, and they brainstorm how to get it up and running.

Young Sheldon is an American sitcom series for CBS, a spin-off of Big Bang Theory. It is created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro.
It is set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, following the character Sheldon Cooper from the age of nine, going to high school. Iain Armitage plays young Sheldon, joined by Zoe Perry and Lance Barber as Mrs and Mr Cooper, and Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord as siblings Georgie and Missy respectively.
