Episode 5 saw Sheldon having a tough time at college – of course, not in academia, but in being recognized by his peers as an authority figure as he becomes an RA. Though he takes on the role, his dormmates only bully him more.
Things at home seem to return to a new normal, with George and Mary rekindling their romance and Dale and MeeMaw spending some time in sketchy situations. Georgie and Mandy’s relationship hasn’t improved, but there are still two more episodes to go in season 6.
1. Episode 6 Synopsis/Speculation
George Sr. is asked to help with the football team; Mandy discovers Georgie and Meemaw’s secret business.
Episode 6, titled “An Ugly Car, an Affair, and Some Kickass football,” will finally grant George a much-needed job. But will that resolve his marital issues?
Because as we know, and the title suggests, George’s cheating scandal hasn’t been touched on in the prequel so far. The upcoming episode will pour some details into Sheldon’s past and his parent’s marriage.
Next week’s episode will also feature the Cooper twins teaming up against Mary, though we don’t know why.
Dale and MeeMaw also seem to be hitting it off again and might get back together, but their risky business idea could put a stop on their relationship once again.

5. Episode 5 Recap
Sheldon asks Mary permission to stay over in his dorm for an early class, and Mary agrees, wanting to spend some quality time with George. After spending a restless and noisy night at the dorm, Sheldon convinces the college dean to grant him the role of Resident Advisor.
Meanwhile, George and Mary spend some romantic moments, much to Missy’s disgust, and she goes over to Georgie and Mandy. Georgie is still trying to be an item with his child’s mother, but Mandy does not have it.
Dale and Connie get involved in a shady business of opening an illegal poker machine parlor. The dealer who supplies them with the machines tries to shake them down, but they escape after Connie slashes his tires and Dale knocks him out.
Sheldon’s sting as an RA begins rather unpleasantly when his dormmates tie him up instead of listening to him.
6. About Young Sheldon
Young Sheldon is an American sitcom series for CBS, a spin-off of Big Bang Theory. It is created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro.
It is set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, following the character Sheldon Cooper from the age of nine, going to high school. Iain Armitage plays young Sheldon, joined by Zoe Perry and Lance Barber as Mrs and Mr Cooper, and Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord as siblings Georgie and Missy respectively.
Jim Parsons, who stars as the adult Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, narrates the series, also serving as an executive producer.
