Joining Hawkeye in its ‘Thanks for ruining my Christmas’ sentiment will be Young Rock, a sitcom based on Dwayne Johnson’s life.
On December 9, PEOPLE released exclusive first look stills of the upcoming Christmas special episode of Young Rock.
Titled “A Christmas Peril”, most stills of the episode show all the three Dwayne Johnsons (Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, and Uli Latukefu) in a single frame and supremely annoyed. Meanwhile, in the present timeline, a beaming OG Johnson is seated in the front.
The entire sitcom is divided into three timelines as Johnson reminisces his younger years. All this in the background of interviews as a contestant for the 2023 U.S. elections.
The three timelines are landmarks in the legendary wrestler’s life – childhood, high school, and football stint – which never intertwine. In the present timeline, the stills show a vintagely-clothed Dwayne Johnson walks in the snow with a crutch, donning a boy hat and muffler.
It looks like co-creator Nahnatchka Khan and Johnson are going all out in using all three Johnsons to relive the bad Christmas experiences of the wrestler-rapper-actor’s life.
I had a blast directing our twisted Young Rock version of A Christmas Carol. The more Dwayne Johnsons on screen at once, the better!

The audience will also see Andre the Giant, played by Matthew Willig, dressed up as the French Santa Claus, Pére Noël.

PEOPLE also provided a tiny story sneak peek. One of the Christmas stories would have Johnson’s father, Rocky, play a mall Santa with Johnson accompanying him as an elf.
Young Rock’s Christmas special episode will air on December 15 while the second season arrives on March 15. Season 2 will reportedly take a step further into exploring Johnson’s rookie years at WWE.
