It was around this time that he was trying to be a singer and his parents were living separately. He ends up finding out the truth about his father breaking his contract and is infuriated with him for putting their lives and financial security at risk like that. In the present, things are bound to get tense as Dwayne addresses the Julien issue at his rally with a little too much fervor.

Dwayne gets heckled at the rally and while he does try to ignore it and talk about his infrastructure policy, he finally addresses the Julien issue. He welcomes Julien to the ‘fight’ and instead of reading out a rehearsed statement, he bluntly announces he’s not afraid of this challenge. How will his PR team manage the aftermath? Will Julien and Dwayne’s rivalry become a big part of his campaign in the upcoming days? Stay tuned to find out.

Young Rock Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

The episode starts with Dwayne at an election rally in Memphis in 2032. In light of the Julien controversy, Dwayne tries to assure his voters that he’s still the same candidate. As he comes off stage after addressing a relatively tough crowd, he launches into another story about tough crowds. He tells Randall about the time he tried to be a country singer in Nashville when he was 15.

It was also around this time that Dwayne and his mother were living separately from his father after he failed to find them an apartment. His father was living with Bruno in between matches and he would still see him often. Dwayne learned about the bad choices his father made in breaking his contract in Saudi Arabia. He’s upset to learn the truth about what his father had done and had he not double-booked himself, their family could’ve been living in a lot more financial stability.

His mother meets him at the bar and tries to explain his father’s thought process a little better. She tells him the story of how the two of them met and had to date in secret because he was her father’s wrestling partner and because Ata was forbidden from dating wrestlers. When they get found out, Rocky gave up wrestling and the only family he ever knew just to be with Ata. Upon hearing this story, Dwayne realizes he’s willing to give his father another chance.
