Fame is a fickle friend, isn’t it?
This week on Young Rock, we see Dwayne Johnson suddenly bursting to fame after he decides to become the villain inside the wrestling ring. With the spotlight always shining on him, he finds it challenging to have a life of his own.
But it is The Rock we are talking about. He has an answer for everything! That is why he decided to make a TV show out of his life.
So, without much ado, let’s speculate what’s in store for the next episode!
1. Season 3, Episode 6 Speculation
We have had Christmas special episodes from many ongoing series this week, including sitcoms like Abbott Elementary, Mythic Quest, etc. Next week’s episode will be the time for Jeff Chiang and Nahnatchka Khan to show us how our beloved Rock used to spend this time of the year.
Titled ‘Dwanta Claus’, episode 6 could take us back to the days of teenage Dwayne when life wasn’t a bed of roses. Last week, we saw a series of catastrophes that caused his family to fall back into poverty.
After getting kicked out of the WWF, Dwayne’s father had to take up a job as a janitor in a restaurant to make ends meet.
Celebrating Christmas seems like a distant proposition when basic survival needs are hard to come by. But it won’t stop teenage Rock from finding little crevasses of happiness amidst the hardships.
This is exactly what the show has been about, isn’t it? Something that everyone can learn from the exemplary life of The Rock is to always find hope even in the worst of situations. Chiang and Khan portray that beautifully without making it a sociology lesson.
Also, Rocky Maivia announces his new name to the world in episode 5, finally coming out of his father’s shadow for good. He is not Rocky Maivia anymore. He is The Rock.
I think this unanticipated stardom and the aura of a bad guy will soon be problematic for Dwayne to deal with. How will he cope with this paradigm shift in his life?
Moreover, we know his infamous fight with Steve Austin is just around the corner. Real-life Steve Austin defeated Dwayne Johnson within six minutes to retain the Intercontinental Championship. I believe we will witness that fight within the next 2-3 episodes.
How will Dwayne bounce back from this spirit-crushing defeat?
Coming to Dwayne of 2032, the coffee deal with Prime Minister Angela Honig hasn’t gone anywhere, but I can see a bond developing between the two people. Will she help Dwayne win the elections and become President of the United States one day? Now, that is a delicious proposition for the season finale!

This week’s Young Rock digs deep into the psyche of young adult Dwayne as he struggles to cope with the sudden burst of fame.
The episode starts with Dwayne rebranding himself as the villain of the ring. He embraces the ‘Rocky Sucks’ and ‘Die Rocky Die’ posters and uses them to his advantage.
After the big switch, Dwayne must wait five long days before his next match to know the audience’s reaction. Fortunately, the match becomes a massive hit, and Dwayne Johnson becomes famous overnight.
Fame comes at a price. Suddenly, Dwayne struggles to get out of the spotlight and starts craving personal time.
Things reach a boiling point when he behaves rudely with a fan asking for an autograph while having an intimate moment with his wife in a restaurant. Dany calls him out for that distant behavior, and he finally apologizes to them.
Young Rock realizes that with great fame comes great responsibility.

Young Rock (2021) is an American sitcom that narrates the life of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a comical way. The series is developed by Nahnatchka Khan and Johnson himself. The series has received generally positive reviews from critics. In April 2021, the series was renewed for a second season.
As Dwayne Johnson runs for President in 2032 in Young Rock, he takes a comedic look back at his life through his family and youth’s stories, which helped him become who he is. Each episode involves Johnson participating in an interview or other conversation which leads him to flashback to a story from one of three periods of Johnson’s life: as a ten-year-old in Hawaii; as a high school student in Pennsylvania; and as a college student and football player at the University of Miami.
