Godfall is an upcoming action role-playing game that will be released on November 12. Developed by Counterplay Games and Gearbox Software, Godfall will be available for platforms like PS5 and Microsoft Windows.
Now most of us cannot obviously afford Sony’s next-gen console, therefore PC is the way forward for us.
Thus with the “looter-slasher” game about to roll out in a matter of weeks, this is the perfect time to contemplate if our systems can tolerate the burden that would be bestowed upon them.
Here you can check out the system requirements of Godfall:
Minimum Specs | Recommended Specs | |
OS | Windows 10 | Windows 10 |
Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-6600 | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700 |
Memory | 12 GB | 16 GB |
Graphics | AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB | AMD Radeon 5700 XT 8GB or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB |
As seen above, the minimum system requirements don’t seem like it will cause problems. I believe most modern PCs should be capable enough to at least run the game. For a next-gen game, the minimum setting doesn’t seem to be arduous.
Recommended system requirements, on the other hand, might be a nuisance to some. If we take into account the much-awaited Cyberpunk 2077, it recommends an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G / Intel Core i7-4790 with an AMD Radeon R9 Fury 4GB / Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB.
However, Godfall demands a bewildering 11GB VRAM for Nvidia graphic cards!
Moreover, this isn’t the bad news. What’s really unwelcoming is the fact that we don’t know what kind of performance we would be getting.
This means that no one knows if minimum specs will offer us 30FPS at 1080p or if the recommended setting would offer us 60FPS at 1440p. This cloud of uncertainty looms over the system requirements of Godfall right now.
Hopefully, the developers will provide some sort of clarity over the unpredictability of enthusiasts.
