Netflix has finally started production for the much-awaited You Season 4. The production team teased the start of the filming on March 22 on Twitter.
The tweet had a photo of the slate board marked 22.3.22 and Take 6. John Scott sits at the director’s chair for the episode with Milos Moore handling the camera. Notably, Scott has previously worked on numerous You episodes.
You became a Netflix hit immediately upon release as the audience fell in love with the troublesome, handsome psychopath Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley).
With a terrifying obsession with women and the urge to have them no matter the cost—fans were obsessed with knowing all of his next moves.
While You Seasons 1 and 2 were loved throughout, Season 3 fell into a bit of a slump for some fans, majorly due to certain plotholes. However, that does not mean the excitement for the fourth season died. In contrast, it has actually increased.
Last month, Deadline reported that Euphoria and The White Lotus actor Lukas Gage was roped in the fourth installment as a series regular. As per the description of his character, Adam, many believe Joe might finally have his arch-enemy (of the same gender).
Adam, too, is a manipulator, and a rich one at that. He takes big risks and “is the youngest son of a wealthy East-Coast magnate.”
Meanwhile, Henry, Joe and Love’s (Victoria Pedretti) son, will hold a major stake in the series. The suppression of Joe’s psychopathic urges was seen in bits and pieces earlier when he took care of his 15-year-old neighbor, Ellie (Jenna Ortega).
Viewers can expect Joe to shift into his father figure role after he leaves Henry in the hands of Dante (Ben Mehl) and pursues Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) to Paris, after killing Love.
Will Joe continue feeding his Marienne obsession, or will he return for Henry? Does the murderer hold a soft spot for his child? Will he finally see his end in Season 4?
Hopefully, all the looming questions will be answered when You Season 4 premieres on Netflix.
