For a human, it sucks to sometimes miss out on new and enthralling experiences in everyday life. This statement can be seen in its truest of forms when we take a look at the gaming industry spectrum.
Just think about it. With the number of triple AAA titles and the unimaginable amount of indie games that are being released every month, it is pretty easy to miss out on some rare gem of games that one can experience.
This influx of video games being released, and us missing out on a good few of them isn’t something that has started recently either.
If we take a look through the video games’ annals of history, it becomes pretty clear that there are quite a lot of titles that have gained credence and recognition only recently!
And this issue is at its peak when it comes to PC gaming’s go-to platform, Steam. On average, almost 700 games are released on Steam each month!
So, it becomes pretty easy for a lot of games to fall under the shadow of bigger titles, ignored completely, and not receiving the attention and praise they deserve.
But don’t worry, for we have sorted these games and picked some amazing video games that you may have missed out on during this August.
With that said, here are five Steam games you probably missed out on during this month!
1 Dread X Collection 2
If you’re a fan of cosmic horror, then you have to check this one out! The game is inspired by the cosmic horror writer H.P.
Lovecraft, this collection comprises 12 games that were created to recreate the surreal imagery and cosmic horror that made Lovecraft’s books so damn special!
And oh boy, does it not deliver on that claim! If you’re a fan of horror and especially loved the symbolism and imagery of games like Bloodborne, give this one a shot. You definitely won’t be disappointed!
I. About the game:
You find yourself in a small room, with only a VCR at your side. Your only escape is to go through this video and see what it has to offer. But are you sure that you have enough strength to survive what the tape entails?
Dread X Collection 2 is a collation of games developed in only ten days, with the sole purpose of recreating the world of H.P. Lovecraft!

Of course, don’t go expecting high-octane action from this one. It’s a simple and mundane story that is about an hour-long, complimented by a soundtrack so beautiful that I would have instantly purchased if it was available.
Be sure to check this one out if you want something refreshing yet calming at the same time!
