Yellowjackets Star Shares Experience of Reading Season 2 Script

Christina Ricci assures fans that Yellowjackets season 2 will be an even crazier experience than season 1.

The events of the series occur across two timelines. One timeline follows a high school football team as they struggle to survive in the wilderness following a massive plane crash. The other timeline focuses on the lives of the survivors as adults.

At the end of season 1, survivors in both timelines end up in deep trouble. The younger counterparts resort to cannibalism and tribalism in order to survive, while the adults are threatened by a mysterious cult.

In a conversation with Watch What Happens Live, Christina Ricci shares her experience of reading the script for the first two episodes of Yellowjackets season 2. She describes season 2 as “even crazier” than season 1. Check out her statement below –

I can’t say too much about season two except that it’s even crazier than season one. I was gasping reading the first two episode scripts, and working with Elijah has been amazing; we’re having so much fun and yeah, it’s been great.

At the end of season 1, both timelines are left in chaos. Following Jackie’s death in the timeline of the plane crash, the survivors are forced to resort to cannibalism and tribalism. Lottie encourages the same, as hinted by the show’s opening minutes.

In the present timeline, Lottie again ends up becoming the root cause of the group’s problems. Simone Kessell is all set to star as the adult version of Lottie, whom we will most likely see in the second season.

Season 2 will introduce more survivors in the modern timeline, so it’s not surprising to hear that it will end up being even crazier than season 1. Yellowjackets season 1 was a huge success for Showtime. It ended up becoming the second most-streamed show on the platform and landed seven Emmy nominations.

Thus, expectations are high as far as season 2 is concerned. Ricci’s comments assure us that season 2 will not disappoint fans. Hopefully, season 2 will answer some of the most anticipated questions and offer us much more than we can expect.
