Episode 7 starts with Towa helping Kohaku and his demon-slaying crew fight a giant poisonous demon.
Hisui and Setsuna land the last strike onto its body, splitting it in half, and Kohaku praises Towa for her improvement in demon detection.
Later, Towa looks for the Dream Butterfly on her own and, by chance, meets a pirate named Riku.
Riku tricks Towa, and she gets captured, making Setsuna and Moroha rescue her. Rescuing Towa, the three girls then chase after a fleeing Yotsume.

1. Episode 8 Release Date
Episode 8 of Yashahime anime, titled “The Dream Gazing Trap” will be released on Saturday, November 21st, 2020.

I. Is Yashahime On A Break This Weekend?
No, Yashahime is not on a break next week. Episode 8 will be released as scheduled.
2. Episode 8 Speculation
A small preview of Episode 8 was shown at the end of the seventh episode.
Towa and the girls capture the owl demon Yotsume. They ask him to reveal all his secrets but he uses rainbow pearls to trap them in a dream like state.
We also find Inuyasha protecting Kagome while she is praying or activating a spell of some kind. Later we find Setsuna discovering the girl floating inside the Tree of Ages to be Rin.
What happened to Rin? And who is Inuyasha protecting Kagome from?
Episode 8 might reveal some truth behind it and delve more into the past where all the adults were still present.
3. Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7, titled “Meeting through an Apple,” starts with Towa and Setsuna staying the night at Kaede’s place after a successful demon hunt.
Setsuna, however, wakes early in the morning, leaving Towa behind. With Setsuna’s absence, Towa decides to look for the Dream Butterfly on her own.
Towa seems to have lost her way when Riku, the pirate, approaches her. The two lost souls decide to sit by the river to relax a bit when Towa discovers Riku’s water magic.
They both introduce themselves, and Riku thanks her for offering food.
He leaves her a Katana as thanks and hops on a boat. While Towa is appreciating her new Katana, Riku, in a monologue, reveals that he had stolen the Katana from Ogigayatsu Hiiragi. So the Katana is a genuine Kikujumonji.
However, Towa is captured by the Deputy Shogun’s retainers, who believe her to have stolen the Kikujumonji on her hand. Towa is questioned by Sokyu and Deputy Shogun about her being a Yashahime.
The apparition Sokyu tells the story of Kagome, Inuyasha, and the bone-eaters well to them while Setsuna learns of Towa’s mission from Kaede.
Setsuna decides to look for her sister while Moroha helps her in her quest. Setsuna and Moroha fight the ice demon beast Fubuki while Towa senses its main body somewhere close.
Setsuna senses Towa’s presence, and the three work together to defeat the demon’s main body.
Moroha and Setsuna arrive just in time to rescue Towa, and they apprehend the owl demon Yotsume sitting there in disguise of Sokyu.
They try to attack him, but he flees, and Towa urges to capture his as he might know more about their past and the Dream Butterfly.
