Towa is surprised at first as Juan looks similar to her sister’s favorite idol Julian then they decide to spend the night in the shrine to bait the cats and just as expected the demon cats try to attack them.

They defeat the cats and Juan tells them about the cursed land the shrine is built up on forcing the demons to possess the cats. The girls investigate underneath the shrine while Towa keeps an eye on the monk.

Moroha and Setsuna discover a big cat with only bones trying to attack them. They attack it back, exposing it to reveal its original face being made of human skulls.

Meanwhile, the monk threatens to eat Towa appearing before her in a demon form with fangs on his teeth. The real monk Juan asks for Towa’s help in saving him while the demon tries to attack her.

Setsuna senses Towa in danger and asks Moroha to break the demon barrier. Upon breaking the barrier Setsuna enters the Shrine to find the demon confronting Towa.

The demon tells that he was able to possess the foolish monk as he held a blessing ceremony awakening the cat demon’s soul.

Miyoga advises the girls to steal the cat’s demon powers and save Juan in that manner.
