Episode 5 starts with the very first appearance of Jakotsumaru, son of Tokatsu. He electrocutes a goon and steals his soul, trying to teach him a lesson.
Meanwhile, one of the four perils, Kyuki, watches as the girls defeat the Root Head demon and arrive in the Feudal Era.
Later, Moroha defeats Jakotsumaru in the Red Bone Palace. Towa and Setsuna learn about Moroha possessing both demon and spiritual powers, and Setsuna seems more interested to find out the rest of Moroha’s abilities.

1. Episode 6 Release Date
Episode 5 of the Yashahime anime, titled “The Cat Juan at the Old Temple”, has been released on Saturday, Nov 07, 2020.

No, Yashahime is not on a break next week. Episode 6 will be released as scheduled.
2. Episode 6 Speculation
A small preview of Episode 6 was shown at the end of the fifth episode.
Corpse Dealer Jyubei approaches the three girls with a case of missing travelers. Upon their search, they find a mysterious village filled with cats. The cats give off a demon smell.
The girls are suspicious of a monk living in the village temple.
Who is the monk? And why is the village filled with souls of dead cats?
Episode 6 might reveal some truth behind it and delve more into the past where all the adults were still present.
3. Episode 5 Recap
Episode 5, titled “Jakotsumaru of the Red Bone Palace,” starts with Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha back in the Feudal Era. Towa and Setsuna seek Kohaku’s help to find out more about the dream butterfly.
Setsuna and Towa set off to find the bone-eating apparition haunting the villagers. We all get to see our favorite Kirara making a comeback as she becomes the travel companion to Setsuna.
Meanwhile, Moroha visits the Corpse Dealer Jyubei, who gives her a job to slay the bone collecting demon Jakotsumaru. It seems that Jakotsumaru is collecting bones to resurrect his father. Myoga also makes a comeback in this episode.
Later, Setsuna and Towa discover Jakotsumaru, who has been killing everyone and collecting their bones. They follow him to the red bone palace. Moroha ends up running into the two, and they decide to investigate the Palace together.
Miyoga introduces himself to the girls and tells them about the four perils haunting the lands. The four perils are demon beasts named Konton, Totetsu, Kyuki, and Tokotsu, controlled by Kirinmaru.
Tokotsu revives and holds Moroha accountable for stealing his rainbow pearl. Jakotsumaru finds out about Moroha possessing both demon and spiritual powers.
Moroha then applies rouge and becomes Beniyasha and defeats Jakotsumaru with an Iron-reaver, Soul-stealer slash.
Moroha then faints with exertion, and Towa and Setsuna defeat Tokotsu, and the Red Bone Palace vanishes into thin air.
