Ya Boy Kongming! Episode 12: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

In the eleventh episode of “Ya Boy Kongming!” Shibuya is turned into an active battlefield with the battle going on between Eiko and Azalea.

The D-Day has arrived and the plan to gather the 100K likes has been set in motion but who would have guessed that Kongming would take the same strategy that Azalea was applying and turn that completely against them.

Nanami faces off against Eiko on the streets of Shibuya. One has all the money in the world behind and the other has Kongming, I believe we all can guess who would be winning here.

Episode 12 Speculations

The eleventh episode ends with Eiko grasping the mic, gearing up to start off with her new song, Dreamer.

Well, the one thing that is for sure is that we will finally be getting to hear Eiko’s new song in the next episode. That itself should make it worth watching but there is more.

We will most likely see Kongming’s strategy to break Azalea from the inside work its magic and take off the facade that the producer has sculpted for them.

I am willing to pay actual money to watch the producer have a complete meltdown but as things are going, we might get to see that in the very next episode.

Episode 11 Recap

The big day has finally arrived and the “Plan for Peace Throughout The World -Volume 1”, is set into motion.

Azalea has a surprise concert announced at very short notice on the streets of Shibuya. They promise to give 100 million Yen to 100 lucky winners who would be selected from the people who would follow a QR code that would pop up during their concert and like their post. A very scummy strategy but an effective one.

Kongming had chosen the same date as the producer for Azalea so that he could take their underhanded strategy and turn it in Eiko’s favor.

People have gathered in droves over at the foggy streets of Shibuya for this event and Kongming takes advantage of the confusion. Eiko arrives before Azalea at the given location and performs one of Azalea’s songs with a QR popping up on the screens on her truck once she is done.

This move gathers her over 70k likes before the real band arrives and the people realize what is going on. Azalea performs the same song and puts up their own QR code for people to follow.

Before they can reach 100K, the crowd’s enchantment is broken by the shady Eiko fan directly in contact with Kongming screaming that if there could be one truck posing as Azalea, there could be two as well.

The people there are in disarray and the constant stream of likes to the Azalea post is pretty much completely stopped. This moment is seized by Kabetaijin who raps a diss track aimed at azalea and their fake presentation.

The goal was to start chipping at Azalea, especially Nanami who feels rather strongly about this, and have her break down, effectively crippling the entirety of the Azalea performance.

The target seemed to have hit its mark and only a slight wind could blow it all away but Eiko looks like she is about to brew a storm with her new song, one that she wrote with Nanami in mind.

We can only hope that the song reaches where Eiko wants it to. Securing her place in Summer Sonia might be the goal but the one she wants to reach is Nanami who seems to be suffering in her own way.

Ya Boy Kongming! is a comedy manga written by Yuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryo Ogawa and started serialization on Kodansha’s Comic Days website in December 2019.

The story features a war strategist from ancient China, Liang Zhuge or Kongming, transported to modern-day Japan while on his deathbed. In the modern world, Kongming encounters Eiko Tsukumi and becomes a fan of her singing. Kongming promises Eiko that he will make her dreams come true to stop her from quitting.
