Otakus around the world love playing games inspired by animes or games that share an anime like theme. This has led to the creation of the JRPG type games and much more.
XSEED Games announced on July 10 that its side-scrolling action platformer game, aka Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin developed by Edelweiss, would receive a physical edition for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The game will be available in standard edition and a special Divine Edition that will include a custom outer box with exclusive artwork, an 8.2″ x 5.8″ art book with over 130 pages of illustrations and concept art, the original soundtrack for the game along with 42 songs compiled in 3 CDs, and a Japanese omamori charm.

Tensui no Sakuna Hime, aka Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a side-scrolling action platformer game and a Hybrid Rice Farming Sim that was initially slated to be released in the winter of 2019.
The game announced a release in 2020 on December 11, 2019, due to a delay in development.
The game will allow its players to learn how to grow, harvest, and cultivate rice and other craft weapons. Players will also have to learn other crafting and weapon recipes in-game.
Along with all these learning capabilities, the game offers its players chances to hone their battle skills by chaining quick, heavy, and special attacks to fight and take down the demonic beasts within the game.
The developers highlight the importance of mastering the magical “divine raiment” to grapple distant platforms, evade danger, and overcome powerful enemies.
XSEED Games who is famous for publishing Story Of Seasons (Bokujo Monogatari), SENRAN KAGURA and Granblue Fantasy: Versus describes Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin as:
“Players take on the role of Sakuna, a proud yet lonely harvest goddess who is banished to a dangerous island with a group of outcast humans. Sakuna tames the island by defeating demons using farm tools as weapons while chaining attacks with her “celestial scarf,” a magical item that allows her to grapple distant enemies and platforms.”
