Xiao’s arrival in the game has long been expected. Fans got a glimpse of the character in early 2020 in the game’s closed beta. Many leaks also hinted at Xiao’s imminent arrival, and now, fans of the game cannot wait to add this five-star Anemo user to their roster.
Avoiding spoilers, Xiao’s quest circles around the Lantern Rite. The Lantern Festival in Liyue is confirmed for a February release, and the new update 1.3 will also take place during February. So, Xiao’s arrival in February works with his character.
For those who are unaware, you may have likely run into Xiao when his character popped up during the Adeptus storyline in Liyue. He is one of the strongest DPS characters in the entire game.
