Players using the Xbox Series X Controllers have been facing a severe issue. The controller keeps getting disconnected randomly from the console. It occurs either for specific games or at complete random. This issue with the controllers is hampering the playing experience of some gamers.
A user posted on Microsoft’s Support Forum that their controller keeps disconnecting at random, especially when they are trying to play Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The post has more than 1700 users saying that they have the same problem. Similar questions have been raised on various Twitter threads and Subreddits.
So how do the players fix this controller issue and immerse themselves back into their games?
Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working to fix it. The solution is to be included in a future update for the controllers.
A piece of good news for the players is that they are not the only ones concerned about the issue. In a statement given to The Verge, a spokesperson from Microsoft said, “We are aware some players may be experiencing disconnects with their new Xbox Wireless Controllers, and our teams are actively working on a solution to be included in a future update.” In the meantime, they suggested players update their controllers to the latest firmware to get the best experience. If someone is not sure how to do it, they can do so by following these steps.
Although it is not sure how long the players have to wait for the fix, they can try some temporary fixes, some of which may be a bit extreme. These include resetting the controllers directly or connecting them to the console. Some users have had to completely reboot their consoles to get the controllers to function again. Apart from these fixes, there is not much that they can do except for waiting.
