The cancellation of this year’s E3 does not mean there’s going to be a shortage of gaming events for enthusiasts to anticipate this summer, as Microsoft has just confirmed hosting its own show.
Called the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, the event will take place on Sunday, June 12 at 10 AM PT/12 PM CT and will be streamed on Xbox’s YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok channels.
According to microsoft, the show will
include everything you need to know about the diverse lineup of games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem, including upcoming releases to Game Pass on Xbox and PC.
Microsoft
This is the second time in two years where Xbox and Bethesda are joining hands to shed some light on the projects they’ve been working on, and expectations are sky-high this time around.
The 2021 showcase delivered a scintillating experience as it teased some of the most anticipated titles like RedFall and Starfield and announced updates for Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon 5, and many more titles.
Now coming to this year’s showcase, it’s very likely that Starfield would steal the spotlight as the showcase’s teaser art displays the Xbox logo up high in space, which gives major space vibes.
On top of this, given how Starfield is set to release on November 11 and Bethesda is known to reveal a game in summer and release it a few months later during fall, everything hints towards the RPG having a significant presence at the forthcoming event.
The other Bethesda game that the showcase is expected to feature is Redfall, which, too, is slated to roll out this year.
On the Xbox Game Studios side of things, the undated titles that could appear are Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed, Rare’s Everwild, Avalanche Studios’ Contraband, Playground Games’ Fable, The Initiative’s Perfect Dark, Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Undead Labs’ State of Decay 3, and Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2.
