World Trigger, the science fiction anime about two unlikely friends, is returning with a second season in 2021. Although the World Trigger manga is going on in full swing, the anime is returning after a gap of five years.
Yuma Kuga is a humanoid alien who is hiding from the forces that protect humans from aliens. This organization is called Border. However, a secret Border employee suddenly becomes his friend and helps him conceal his identity.
The official website of World Trigger has just released a new trailer for the upcoming season. The second season will premiere on 9th January 2021. The anime series will air on the NUMAnimation block of TV Asahi.
The new trailer shows selected stills from the anime. It also showcases the powers of the Galopoula members.
Some of the border members and main characters are shown as well. A fierce battle between the Galopoula unit and the Border force is portrayed.
Galopoula is a country in the Neighborhood. To cripple the offensive capacity of Border, they have sent a secret expedition force to Earth. The cast members for the Galopoula unit have already been announced.
A new poster for the special screening was also revealed.
The first two episodes of the anime will be screened in advance in 12 select theatres in Japan from 25th December to 7th January. Exclusive footage will also be revealed during the pre-screening.

It was initially serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2013 to November 2018 and later transferred in December 2018 to Jump Square.
A mysterious white-haired kid named Yūma Kuga gets transferred to the local school. It turns out, Kuga is actually a humanoid.
In school, he becomes friends with another student, Osamu Mikumo, who is, in fact, an undercover C-class Border trainee. Mikumo becomes the perfect guide for Kuga to save him from being discovered by Border.
