The power scale keeps changing in World Trigger; the once weak agent can fight monstrous creatures with enormous strength. It has precisely produced some incredible characters. Let’s see the strongest characters in World Trigger.
20 Jun Arashiyama
If World Trigger were your typical isekai anime, Jun would have been the hero class. He is the face of Border for a reason; there have been instances where people have underestimated the Arashiyama unit because of this reason, but time and time again, Jun has proven it otherwise.
Jun is one of the candidates for Fujin and the leader of an A-rank team. When Jun uses Asteroid and teams up with Mitsuru, they become unbeatable. Kyosuke recommended Osamu to learn from Jun since he has better techniques when it comes to shooting.
His analytical skills are remarkable, and it becomes evident while he worked as a commentator in the B rank wars. Jun tends to trick his opponents with Scorpion on one hand and Gunner triggers on the other while teleporting with Teleporter.
19 Shun Midorikawa
A battle maniac is what you would call Shun. He is very unpredictable and his movements are similar to a beast. But the same beast becomes a tamed puppy in front of Jin; he idolizes Jin. Before Yuma’s arrival, Shun maintained the record of Neighbour Simulation Completion in a short time, it took him 4 seconds to complete it!
Even Yuma admitted that had it not been for Konami’s training he would have lost to Shun in the mock battle. Although Shun lost to Yuma he learnt an important tactic that helped him to win against Lamvanein; this proves he is flexible and has high grasping abilities.
Shun is an exceptional Attacker, he is very clever and it comes in handy during fights. As for his physical abilities, he is swift and Grasshopper gives him the perfect chance to sneak on his opponents. He is capable of wielding two Scorpions but he prefers to use one. Shun is only 14 but his overall parameters are already at 44 that competes with some experienced and older agents of Border; it is certain that he will grow into a monster.
18 Yousuke Yoneya
Yousuke is a part of an elite A-ranker team; he is an extremely talented individual who is self-taught. He can wield two different Attacker triggers, Kogetsu and Scorpion and has achieved mastery at using them.
Throughout the Large scale invasion arc, Yousuke survived until the end while battling trion soldiers and humanoid Neighbours; his fight with Lamvanein is unforgettable because of the attack scenes and majorly due to their constant screaming facing each other for a minute.
Yousuke’s trion level is comparatively lower, but he backs it up with his other abilities, especially his analysis and observant personality comes in handy in battles. His agile and quick movements, combined with his usual distant fighting style, prevent him from surprise attacks from his enemies. He uses Spear which is different from other triggers that we have seen and it’s evident that Yousuke is efficient in spear type triggers.
17 Miwa Shuji
Miwa is an A-ranker emo boy, but in a Gakuran, he was one of the Border agents who played a minor antagonistic role in the series. People have mixed opinions about Miwa because of his character motives and deep hatred for the Neighbours.
He’s one of the candidates for Fujin, and Miwa has used it in the Aftokrator invasion arc by creating six ribbons. Since he can fight efficiently in close range, Lead bullets provide an advantage while in battle; he uses them to slow the enemy down as moving around with them is a difficult task as each lead bullet is 100kg.
His battle tactics are superior; he could harm Hairein and Mira, who are Aftokrator invaders and black trigger users. Despite his villain-like tendencies, he is a good leader and somewhere inside, he is a nice guy. After knowing about Jin’s family, he falls into a moral dilemma about Neighbours; hopefully, he will come around and support Yuma.
16 Ko Murakami
Ko is your typical knight character; he is a diligent, loyal and sincere good guy. Ko’s side-effect, enhanced sleep-learning, works as a cheat skill, but he has a complex about it; however, now he is slowly coming to terms with it and using it to his advantage.
His Side-Effect enables him to learn 100% skills of his opponents that he has experienced while sleeping; it has helped him climb the No. 4 Attacker position. Although his side-effect is incredible in itself, Ko is inherently strong and perceptive, and his defense is hard to crack even for Hyuse and Yuma combined.
Ko’s swordsmanship is incredible; it shocked Konami when Ko defeated Yuma in the B rank wars; even in the Large scale invasion arc, he alone stalled three Rabbits. He played an essential part in the Galopoula’s attack as Ko stopped Gatlin from destroying Border’s away ship twice.
15 Masato Kageura
Masato is a delinquent and a tyrant, he wouldn’t hesitate to attack people who would badmouth him at one instance he decapitated an agent (of course in their trion body). He was a former A- ranker currently his team has been demoted to B rank and seems like he doesn’t care about the demotion.
His sadistic tendencies might be a result of his Side-Effect that enables him to perceive emotions directed to him which is pretty cool and scary at the same time but does it make him any less violent? No. Everything he does is for the sake of entertainment but he does come to save his team in the end.
Masato’s attacking power is close to Border’s top Attackers and since his Side-Effect can also perceive attacks directed at him he can easily fend them off. Ko has openly acknowledged that winning against Masato would be difficult since he is a better swordsman. Masato’s Mantis whiplash is interesting and the way he wraps his body with Branch Blade is so cool.
14 Kyosuke Karasuma
Kyosuke teasing is a little devil when he deals with Konami, he enjoys fooling and teasing her, and she gets fooled every time. While Kyosuke alone is overpowering, he is also a member of Border’s strongest unit.
He used Viper and Asteroids in battle while putting on Escudo in a fight with Neighbours. Currently, Kyosuke is Osamu’s mentor, Ai Kitora was another trainee under him, and this became another reason for Kitora’s rivalry with Osamu to increase.
Rabbit can be defeated with a team of at least 4-5 A-rankers, but Kyosuke destroyed it single-handedly. In the Large scale invasion arc he uses Escude as a barrier and shoots from behind it. As a Tamakoma 1 member, he has a personalized Trigger called Giest, which has special functions like enhancing Kyosuke’s combat ability for less than 5 mins before bailing out.
13 Soya Kazama
Soya is the No. 2 Attacker and the leader of an A-ranked unit. He is a good leader and, in general, a nice person even if he is harsh towards people at times, but he means well. Unlike others, he never acts on his impulses; Soya is what you would term a Kuudere.
He is always misunderstood as a child because of his height, but he doesn’t seem to mind it. According to Jin, he has a secret side to him; in reality, he is childish, Soya is caught riding Raijinmaru on camera.
Soya has scored the highest usage point for Scorpion, and he is capable enough to fight a Black Trigger user. Due to his agile and flexible body, he excels at hit-and-run, and when his attacks are combined with stealth combat, he becomes an exceptional fighter.
12 Hyuse
Hyuse is our once enemy turned ally, he was among the Aftokrator Neighbours who attacked Miden. He was personally trained by Viza and Hyuse has time and time again proved himself as one of the strongest people in World Trigger. Hyuse is a diamond in the rough, his exceptional latent talent, abilities and learning capabilities outshines others.
It merely took him a second to complete the Neighbour Simulation and within a few hours, he reached B rank. Hyuse’s innate higher trion levels amplified with Trion Horn implants and this made the usage of Lampyris trigger better. The Lampyris trigger is too overwhelming, it controls magnetic chips that can serve as a shield and a weapon at the same time.
After joining Border Hyuse has surpassed Master level in Attacker triggers and slowly he is learning to use Shooter triggers. Hyuse has his way with Kogetsu, he can fight on par with Border’s No. 6 Attacker, Ikoma and he is an expert with Scorpion. He stabbed Yotaro’s clothes without even harming him; well this proves his proficiency.
11 Kirie Konami
Konami is the best girl, and she is too cute to be true. Konami is the type of tsundere that you would want to keep inside your pockets, and it is hilarious how she is so gullible to be tricked again and again.
As a member of Border’s strongest unit, Tamakoma first she also possesses a personalized trigger called Sogetsu. The Connector helps Konami to merge two Sogetsu into a big Axe that focuses on firepower. Although she is naive about social skills, Konami is perceptive; she could identify Yuma as powerful and that Viza’s trigger is not typical.
She is Border’s No. 3 Attacker; however, Konami is stronger than Kazama since she didn’t participate in solo rank wars for many years. During the battle, Reiji and Kyosuke let her run on a rampage while handling everything behind the scenes; Konami is like a beast. She is Yuma’s mentor, and despite his previous experiences, Yuma could not win against her more than three times in training battles.
10 Ninomiya
Ninomiya is the strongest Shooter of them all! He is Border’s No. 1 shooter and overall No. 2 fighter. Being the leader of a former A-rank team, he has quality leadership skills and talent; however, since he is a lone wolf, he tends to fight his opponents alone while relying on his team members for defense.
Although he is impudent, Ninomiya is charismatic due to his bad-boy image even his Trion Body appears as a suit giving out a Host persona. If not for Chika, Ninomiya would still be the Golden Bird of the Border, his trion level is 14, and he uses it to its maximum power. Overall in his Border Briefing File, his parameters total up to 62 points, including his attack power which is 12.
Ninomiya has a high survival rate throughout his time in Border; he has only bailed out twice, plus he is capable enough to overpower his opponents alone. He outwits his enemies most of the time and completely traps them by dividing his trion cubes into larger and smaller bullets; the chap doesn’t even lift his fingers to create trion cubes. Flash who? It is Ninomiya who is the fastest when it comes to bullet manipulation, and creating composite bullets like Salamander and Hornet is one of his specialties.
9 Reiji Kizaki
Reiji is too overpowered; I mean, he’s called the Perfect All-Rounder, and for obvious reasons, he is the No.1 All-Rounder. He is the ideal older brother everyone craves throughout their lives. Give him any trigger; he will use it to its utmost value. It is estimated that each of his triggers has above 6000 Usage Points, and he is probably an agent with the most Usage Points.
While he is the Border’s Strongest unit, Tamakoma First’s leader, he alone holds the power of an entire unit in battle. If you hadn’t guessed it yet, Reiji and his whole team are A rankers. He also has a specialized Trigger Holder, which can store 14 triggers at once, and he is known for combining them and attacking in unforeseeable ways. Yeah, he is a walking reverse uno card!
As for Reiji’s shooting skills are considered, he uses Minigun to overpower his opponents. His defensive power and tactical skill are great enough to predict the enemy’s moves while using Hound to his advantage by shooting it in upward directions. From whatever is shown up until now, we know for a fact Neighbours are crazy strong, and despite that, Reiji stalled two of them and extracted a useful piece of information.
8 Lamvanein
At first glance, Lamvanein might seem like an Attacker but surprisingly he is a Shooter; his appearance can fool the audience as well as his enemies. Don’t be fooled by his physical traits, Lamvanein is not just a buff guy but he is muscles + brain; it is a deadly combination.
He is smart and by smart I mean scheming smart, throughout the Large scale invasion arc he tricked many Border agents and forced them to bail out. Since he is one of the Aftokrator Neighbours, he has the modified trion receptors so his trion level is 25 which is more in number compared to Hyuse.
Lamvanein’s Shooter trigger Chedelion affects a large area and has huge firepower. It shoots powerful explosive beams and he can change its trajectory, the beams can also act as a shield. The cape he wears cannot be pierced by Gunner triggers or other bullets. The trigger Lamvanein uses is a normal trigger but it is already super destructive.
7 Kei Tachikawa
Tachikawa is a monster! He is Border’s No. 1 Attacker and overall agent with a few screws loose in his head. He is the exact representation of Jin’s extreme version; he is reckless and impulsive at times. Tachikawa would probably laugh like a maniac while slashing through his enemies with dual-wielded Kogetsu.
It took him one slash to annihilate the self-destructive Ilgar. An entire elite A ranked team is required to destroy a Rabbit, but Tachikawa alone defeated eleven of them; he is crazy overpowered!
Despite his slightly eccentric tendencies, Tachikawa is an intensely focused individual; he generally doesn’t lose his composure in battles. Tachikawa is swift to analyze the situations and retaliate and is strong enough to be on par with a Black Trigger user.
6 Masafumi Shinoda
Shinoda is a member of Border’s board of Directors and the Commander of the Self-Defense Unit. Shinoda has been in the Border ever since it was created, and he respects Yugo Kuga, his senpai.
Shinoda is Tachikawa’s mentor, so he is undoubtedly stronger than the No. 1 Attacker; he is Border’s most powerful agent with a Normal Trigger. Shinoda’s strength compares to the whole team, and he doesn’t participate in battle unless necessary.
Shinoda’s overall parameters are 62! To reach faster to the simulation VR room, he ran on the wall like a ninja. He has more battle experience than others; we can observe his intelligence and tactical sense in the fight with Enedra.
5 Hairein
Hairein is the captain of the Aftokrator invasion team, everyone had a hard time dealing with him. He is a part of a noble family that rules his home country and as the head of the family he shares a huge burden on his head.
Hairein is extremely smart and as a strategist his capabilities are superior, he devised a masterplan to take over Mikado city and kidnap C rankers if Jin wouldn’t have intervened Mikado city would have been a wreck. Hairein could identify that someone was pulling strings behind the scenes.
His intellect is not limited to battle strategies as a person from a political background he can manipulate situations to his advantage and maintain a power balance.
He has Black Trion Horns which makes his trion level 40 and overall parameters 123. Hairein’s trigger, Alektor is a goldmine, it produces animal shaped bullets that can nullify trions upon being touched. It is easier for the opponents to lose their trion body limbs in the fight and once he shapes it into a shield all attacks will be invalid since the trions will disappear.
4 Amo Tsukihiko
Every World Trigger fan wants to see Amo in action. According to the Border Directors, Amo is considered the Border’s last resort and is a walking nuclear weapon. His trion body is supposedly grotesque, and his personality changes when he fights.
Unfortunately, we didn’t see him in a fight, but he single-handedly wiped out an entire region filled with various trion soldiers. Amo is an All-Rounder and a Black Trigger user, and we can assume that its power range is a large scale one.
Katsumi Karasawa mentions he has slight personality issues, and his Side-Effect contributes to this problem. He can see combatant powers as colors around people, and different colors indicate strength levels. Due to everyone’s description of him by members in Border, seeing him fight will be fun.
3 Yuma Kuga
Yuma is one of the main characters in World Trigger, and fans adore him for his cute and laidback characteristics. Yuma has proven that even while using Normal Triggers, his powers are close to A-rankers and with his Black trigger and Replica as a support, he is a complete game-changer.
Yuma is a Neighbour, and he has battle experience since he participated in the Neighbours’ civil wars. As he was specially trained by Yugo Kuga, who was as strong as the current Shinoda 10 years ago, his battle strategies and hand-to-hand combat techniques are excellent.
Yuma’s Black Trigger is extraordinary; it stores his original body inside a ring while creating an artificial trion body that can regenerate. It can produce various seals and combinations that can enhance his physical abilities, and it can also copy others’ skills, just like when Yuma copied Miwa’s Lead Bullets.
With Replica’s help, Yuma’s seal production becomes faster, and his strategies refine greatly. Yuma’s inner overpowered protagonist self was evident in the fight with Viza; he defeated him and Aftokrator’s national treasure Organon. Even without Replica and his Black trigger is powerful, Grasshopper has made him even more agile than before and other triggers have enhanced his abilities.
2 Viza
Viza is out of the world strong well technically he is an otherworlder but he is stronger than any Neighbour we have seen so far. Replica mentions that he is the strongest humanoid of Aftokrator and it was unbelievable that this walking destructive power was sent to kidnap C rankers.
Despite his strength he is a true gentleman, the gramps is polite even to his enemies. Viza has been a part of Aftokrator’s battle force for years that shaped him into a formidable enemy with experience and crazy battle skills. He supposedly defeated the entire Galapoula’s regime single-handedly so it does make sense that could hold off Border’s strongest agents without even being serious.
For a man like Viza it is natural that Aftokrator’s national trigger Organon will be wielded by him. Organon is a sword that takes the form of a staff, it can also create five orbits that contain blades six blades each, these blades are sharp enough to destroy a boulder in a brief moment. His parameters will give you a shock; they sum up to 146 in total and his trion level is 58! He doesn’t even have a Trion Horn implant unlike other Aftokrators even Chika has 38 trion levels, it makes you feel bad for Osamu who has only 2.
1 Yuichi Jin
Jin, our rice-cracker guy, is the strongest. I mean he is too overpowered with his black trigger, and it is impossible not to include him in this list. He already overflows with charisma; at this point, we should just accept that everyone has a crush on him. Jin is usually carefree and relaxed, always munching on his rice crackers, but he is one of the Border’s best when it comes to fighting with the Neighbours.
As a former S ranker, Jin’s strategies are top-notch; he alone was powerful enough to beat Border’s top agents with his traps and tactics during the Black Trigger retrieval arc, and he wasn’t even serious while fighting. When he was using Kogetsu, he was the No. 2 attacker, but since he designed Scorpion, his matches with Tachikawa ended up with a tie.
His overall Normal Trigger parameters are 59, and Black Trigger parameters are 120. Jin won against all prospective candidates for fujin and successfully acquired his master’s, Black Trigger. He can produce eleven ribbons from his fujin that can slash through objects within his vision.
Jin’s Side-effect overthrows the power scale, and he becomes almost invincible. Like, come on, the dude can see the future! It changes everything in so many ways; although he can only see a few years in the future, he can also see the variables that can change a future event’s probability. He has often used it to his advantage; Jin manipulated the entire Aftokrator invasion, resulting in Border’s victory.
