He asks why she joined the expedition, and Inuki tells him it was to look for her missing brother. Konami asks if that was because she couldn’t shoot people. Inuki says yes, just like Chikako.

Inuki takes this opportunity to start with his psychological tactics to pry into Chikako’s current shooting abilities and possibly rile up Megane.

As the Ninomiya squad leaves, Megane tries his luck again with Ninomiya and asks about Hatohara. Ninomiya says he’s not telling unless his team wins.

Back at home, the Tamakoma members get to devising new strategies since the viper trick Hyuse was saving up has been figured out.

As they discuss plans, Hyuse says he suspects that Chikako is capable of shooting people. Poor Chikako gets a panic attack hearing this.

Later, when she calms down, she tells Usami and Reiji how a trion soldier chased her when she was young. No one believed her story except for one friend, but that girl went missing later.

She felt people would blame her, which is why now, she can’t shoot people. Not because she’ll hurt someone but because they might blame her for it. Should she do it to protect Kuga and Megane?
