A strange rumor has spread around that Hyuse is actually a neighbor. Odd because the secret was so well guarded, and it’s true.
Megane thinks it’s all his fault and goes to Border HQ to resolve the issue. Netsuki plans to make another rumor about Hyuse and spread it via Azuma.
As they settle down for the day, Usami informs them that the list of their opponent teams just came in, and the Ninomiya squad will be the first one they’ll be battling
Episode 8 Speculations
Netsuki has come up with the cunning plan of overpowering one rumor with a more plausible one. Such a careful plan should work out in the long run. Hyuse isn’t an alien, and he’s just strange because he’s from Canada.
Chikako will probably also be fine since we haven’t seen any repercussions from her accidental shooting yet.
The thing fans are most worried about is Tamakoma-2’s upcoming match with the cocky Ninomiya. Will Megane be able to outmaneuver his opponent?

Episode eight of World Trigger season three will be released as per schedule. No delay has been announced.
Episode 7 Recap
As all the Tamakoma-2 members leave after the match, Usami asks Megane if the bad feeling he talked about before the match is gone now.
Uttei tells Usami that everyone in the lounge is gossiping about Hyuse being a neighbor. Now he knows why he had this bad feeling. It was because Hyuse was standing out too much.
Megane asked Border HQ to officially deny the rumor, which would be as good as admitting.
Netsuki, however, chose to replace the current rumor with a more believable one. Hyuse is Kronin’s relative and comes from Canada, recruited for his high trion levels. It is decided that Azuma will be the source of that rumor.
Azuma then asks Megane if Chikako was okay since he knew a sniper like that called Hatohara. She apparently puked and stayed in bed from the trauma of shooting a person.
They also discuss rank wars and how they would end after round eight. B-rank squads number two or above will be treated as A-ranks for the selection.
Netsuki-san gives Megane the plan of action written on paper. Megane blames himself for mishandling Hyuse’s situation when he can’t even handle his own.
He goes back to his branch, where they discuss how the rumors started. Usami lets them know that the list of the teams they’ll be battling has arrived.
They will be battling the Ninomiya squad, Ikoma squad, and Yuba squad. The next day, Konami takes them out for yakiniku. Whom do they run into there, of all people? Ninomiya, of course.
