Episode nine of the anime World Trigger’s season three begins with Tamakoma-2, gathering information on the teams they’ll be fighting.
Kuga’s friend, Shun, will introduce them to Kazuma Satomi from the Kusakabe squad and Takuma Yuba of the Yuba squad.
Satomi gives Megane a lot of information about Yuba and Ninomiya. Only when he leaves does Megane find out that he was talking to the number one gunner. Megane can only look on with a shocked Pikachu face.

The question about whether Chikako can shoot people or not remains unanswered. Fans aren’t sure if they can expect this to be resolved by the next episode.
In any case, the upcoming matches with the Yuba squad and the Ninomiya squad will be anything but easy. Especially the reserved Ninomiya Masataka will be complicated to read, even with Hyuse’s capabilities.

Episode 9 Recap
Chikako knows how much Megane and Kuga shelter her. This makes her want to try her best and give it her all.
The Tamakoma-2 team gears up for their later matches with the Yuba squad and the Ninomiya squad. Kuga decides they should spar with them and gather information before the game.
He contacts Midorikawa Shun, who introduces Megane to Kazuma Satomi of the Kusakabe squad. He seems like an amiable man who calls himself a Ninomiya fanatic but knows a lot about the Yuba squad too.
When asked about Yuba, he says the guy is invincible in a one-on-one fight, but when asked about Ninomiya, he says the same thing.
He explains to a confused Megane their styles and tricks. He even gives a complete lecture on the best way to win against them.
He meets Jin in a hallway, who had spotted him talking to Kazuma. Jin tells him Kazuma is the number one gunner, surprising considering how humble he was.
Kuga meets both Takuma Yuba and Obishima Yukari. He mistakes Obishima to be a boy, for which he later apologizes, but Yuba takes this chance to guilt Kuga into fighting with Obishima.
Kuga doesn’t fight well at first so that the Yuba squad doesn’t gather much intel about his fighting style. Yuba goads him into fighting with gusto, revealing a new move. In good faith, Yuba shows Kuga a bit of his gunner style.
