Kenta Shinohara’s Witch Watch manga is getting an anime adaptation in April 2025. This year’s 38th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced this news on Monday. The anime adaptation was announced with a visual, promotional video, cast, and staff information.

What is the Story of Witch Watch
The story follows Morihito and Nico as they live together with their own shares of magic. MANGAPlus describes the story as Morihito, a boy with the strength of an ogre, who is about to start living with his childhood friend Niko, who is training to be a witch. Niko’s magic leads to all sorts of unpredictable trouble, and with two teens under one roof… Let the fantastical antics begin! This is a magical comedy series by Kenta Shinohara, creator of SKET DANCE and Astra Lost in Space.
About Witch Watch
Witch Watch is a fantasy and romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Kenta Shinohara.
The story follows a teenager witch apprentice, Nico Wakatsuki, who also happens to be clumsy resulting in her spells going wrong. Nico is in love with her childhood friend, Morihito, a human-looking ogre. To stay close to Morihito, Nico makes him her familiar, much to the latter’s reluctance. Due to certain conditions, the teenagers then have to live together and from there begins the story of their adventures involving Nico’s mishaps in magic and Moihito saving her from it.
