With Netflix churning out so many titles, it truly is a gamble to find one that makes for a good watch—even if it has big names attached to it. Thankfully, the Neil Patrick Harris-starrer Uncoupled earns itself a gold star for being emotional, funny, and stirring.
Fans are now wondering if the show will have a second season.
Netflix has not yet renewed Uncoupled for Season 2. However, given the positive ratings and audience reception, it is expected to be greenlit.
While the fate of the show is still up in the air, I am positive about the outcome. After all, the show’s depiction of older queer individuals is both sincere and refreshing. In the meanwhile, here are some details about Uncoupled S2 to muse over:
Uncoupled S2 Release
If Uncoupled gets renewed for Season 2, we can expect it to release sometime in mid-2023. The show’s co-creator Darren Star is currently filming Emily in Paris, so irrespective of the status of Season 2, it will take some time for the production to get back into filming.
Uncoupled S2 Characters and Cast
We can expect to see the main cast, made up of Neil Patrick Harris, Tisha Campbell, Emerson Brooks, and Brooks Ashmanskas. Tuc Watkins and Marcia Gay Harden, who play Colin and Claire respectively, may return in a recurring capacity.
As S2 is not yet confirmed, there are no other cast speculations, but I do think a new character would be added to spice things up.

So, one of the big moments that S2 will have to deal with is Colin returning to Michael’s doorstep, confessing that he has made a mistake. In the eight episodes, Michael has bent in all directions trying to figure out his new life, and this is going to throw him off the track, right as he’s making progress.
The rest of the characters, too, have compelling storylines to explore. Suzanne, of course, finds out the identity of Kai’s father, which is another rabbit hole to go down. Stanley receives the sad news of being ill with cancer, and it tests the waters of his friendship with Billy as well.
