Reason For Tanjiro’s Journey To The Swordsmith Village!
It’s almost a running gag now, with the number of times Tanjiro breaks his sword making Haganezuka angry! In the recent fight with Upper Moon 6, Tanjiro chipped his sword yet again and angered Haganezuka who isn’t willing to send Tanjiro’s sword even after 2 months.
This prompts Tanjiro towards the Swordsmith Village in hopes of getting his Nichirin sword back!
Why does Tanjiro’s Sword break so often?
It is really surprising how Tanjiro’s Nichirin gets broken so often. Fans theorize this is mostly due to the incompatibility between his breathing technique and his sword.
Sun Breathing Technique was lost long ago and the Nichirin swords made are not powerful enough to withstand the technique which is the reason why his swords break so often!
Will Tanjiro finally receive a durable sword in the Swordsmith Village Arc?
The trailer for Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc features Tanjiro’s new sword, the tsuba was different from the usual. The katana also had four slight indentations, with a black center and a golden border.
This new katana is extremely similar to the one that Yoruichi had in his possession meaning Tanjiro will finally receive a sword that can withstand his Sun Breathing Technique!
In the events of the original manga, Tanjiro attains his new Nichirin blade after defeating the life-sized battle doll named Yoriichi Type Zero. The sword was hidden inside the body of this doll.
The sword was then restored to a usable state by Haganezuka after being unused for three centuries. This sword can change from black to crimson red which is only achievable by Yoriichi and Tanjiro due to the mark they possess!
