Is Stan Edgar’s time as Vought ending on The Boys?

Stan Edgar is one of the crucial characters of The Boys who hasn’t frequently appeared on the screen. In fact, he can be considered as the only human or supe to keep Homelander within his limits.

Throughout Season 2 and even until Episode 4 in Season 3, Stan and Homelander’s passive-aggressive beefs were pretty intense. On one side, we had the supe, pursing his lips and looking like he’ll shoot lasers any second. On the other side, we had the head of Vought saying, “I dare you!” just with his stoic stare.

However, the tables turned in Episode 4. Homelander made a deal with Congresswoman Victoria Neuman/Nadia, where she rats out Edgar in exchange for a vial of Compound V for her daughter Zoe. It was also inevitable because if Nadia said no, her daughter would be blown into a million pieces. While that would have been ironic, it didn’t happen.

Instead, the man in charge had to temporarily leave the position of control in Vought, which the supe said could become permanent. So the question is if Stan Edgar will ever return to Vought.

Stan Edgar

It isn’t confirmed, but Stan Edgar might return to Vought. According to IMDb, the character will appear in the remaining Season 3 episodes.

Currently, everything hangs in the balance for all characters in the show, and Stan is no exception. In the final exchange between the supe and the “former” head, the latter says something quite chilling.

Edgar tells how the real face of the public’s heartthrob might soon come out because there will be nobody to cover for his erratic and borderline psychotic behavior. These words are the only thing that gives us some sort of hope that the man would be back at Vought soon enough.

However, none of it is confirmed, and at this point, everything seems unpredictable. What is definitive is Stan’s presence in the next few episodes.

But besides all this, Stan seems to have been in control for the last 30-odd years since Payback was the superlative team in the country. So, removing him so quickly with a few meager charges seems a little unlikely and even far-reaching.

About The Boys

The Boys is an American satirical superhero streaming television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which was originally published by DC Comics under their Wildstorm imprint before moving to Dynamite Entertainment, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.

The show is a satirical take on the superhero genre and showcases a world where superheroes are corporatized and controlled by companies. What happens when these superheroes step out of line and rub some boys the wrong way, is the story.
