1. Will Solo Leveling: Arise adapt the Jeju Island Arc?

Solo Leveling: Arise may not adapt the whole Jeju Island Arc, but It will surely start the Arc and animate the part till jinwoo gets Beru’s shadow, following the pattern from season 1, where Jinwoo got ahold of Igris’s shadow after the intense duel.

The first season of Solo Leveling adapted 45 chapters into 12 episodes, maintaining the pace while remaining loyal to the source material.

Since season 2 will feature 13 episodes, adapting the whole Jeju island arc wouldn’t tune in right with the second season as it would be rushed, and fans may lose interest as it would omit the crucial parts of the arc. However, there are action-packed scenes, so seeing more of this arc is possible.

The Red Gate, Demon Castle, Retesting Rank, Hunters Guild Gate, and Return to the Demon Castle Arcs will definitely be covered in this season.

Season 2 of Solo Leveling will end with a cliffhanger once Jinwoo attains Beru’s shadow in chapter 105. The plot’s focal point will shift from the gates as the source of enemies to the Monarchs.

So far, Solo Leveling’s main threats have been the gates, dungeons, and monsters within them. However, introducing the monarchs will leave fans baffled and lead them down a rabbit hole of questions about their origin and the war between the monarchs and the rulers.

Jeju Island Arc features an S-rank raid consisting of sixteen S-rank hunters gone wrong due to an ambush by the formidable Ant King, who easily got rid of eight hunters like swatting flies.

The Ant King will be stopped by none other than our star, Jinwoo. This arc is crucial for him as it will prove his status as the strongest hunter in the world in front of everyone.

Once Jinwoo defeats the Ant King, he will extract his shadow to add to his shadow army. Since the Ant King knew Jinwoo’s potential and even mistook him for the king of humans, he would submit to him and even ask Jinwoo to name him.

Here is how we get the Ant King’s Shadow called Beru, the one manhwa fans love due to his comedic remarks and adorable hobby of watching Korean dramas, from which he picked up a historic way of speech.

By the end of the arc, the military representative guild of the Yeongnam district, “Knights,” will arrive at the Jeju island to collect precious stones but will be met by terrifying monarchs like the macho-looking Rakan and the sly Sillad.
