It’s Christmas time (read Rickmas) and the wait for season 6 is long, and what better way to celebrate than watching Rick and Morty surf for shows on the Interdimensional Cable?
Adult Swim recently released a new 30 minutes long Yule Log video that shows Rick and Morty chilling around in a room fit for Christmas celebrations watching television with almost no sound.
As they sit around the fireplace, we hear the fire crackle in the back with occasional burps from Rick. There’s also an intruding “guest” peeking inside the room every few minutes, but it’s no bother to Rick.
However, they aren’t watching TV like the rest of us normies would; they’re watching Interdimensional Cable, a cable box Rick invented that gives access to tv shows across every dimension.
A Very Merry Rickmas Yule Log:
This video was released just two days after Summer’s fire rap track “It’s Rickmas Time” was released – an earworm threatening peace over the holiday season.
Sadly, not every grandparent is okay with their grandchild singing, “The ice-caps are melting and Santa just drowned, Means there’s no rules now and we can all f*ck around,” out loud.
(It was hard to get the song out of my brain, and now that I’ve mentioned it, it’s back again.)
Adult Swim also announced its 12 Days of Rickmas sweepstakes [] when its YouTube channel dropped Summer’s banger.
Although season 5 did not have a Christmas special, it did have a Halloween special titled The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara. Even if Rick and Morty aren’t going on an adventure out in the snow, it does get you in the holiday spirit.
Rick and Morty season 6 will release in 2022. Both seasons 6 and 7 were confirmed quite a while ago, but as the upcoming season is still in production, fans will have to wait quite sometime before it airs.
