Peacemaker episode 7 set up an exciting season finale, and I cannot wait to see what happens to all our favorite characters, especially Peacemaker. After Murn’s death, Task Force X is left without a leader. Being a butterfly himself, Murn could see other butterflies’ memories and hence was the most resourceful person on the mission.
Now, the team is shorthanded, and they’re going to kill the Cow in a place guarded by all the butterflies. So will we see another character’s death? Peacemaker was pretty close to dying in The Suicide Squad, and he is alive because of Waller and her selfish intentions.
Will Peacemaker die or survive this time in the show’s finale?
Peacemaker will likely survive because James Gunn wants to make another season of the show. James Gunn might either explicitly confirm that Peacemaker is alive or surprise us as he did in The Suicide Squad.
The show hasn’t been greenlit for a season 2 yet, but James Gunn said there is a great chance of a revival. Furthermore, he also mentioned that currently, he is working on another spin-off series that will be part of the same universe. The new series is still in its early stages and will take time to develop.
This means even if Peacemaker season 2 is greenlit, it would take at least a year to release. Well, whatever it is, I just can’t wait to find out how James Gunn ends this stint of Peacemaker.
Fans are expecting to see an extraordinary season finale. James Gunn has sent critics only 7 episodes from the season and forced HBO Max not to send the eighth one. While this can be a smart move to increase the intrigue before the finale drops, I’d like to believe that James Gunn has something incredible in store for us and doesn’t want anything to be leaked.
Is there a character death involved? Chukwudi Iwuji, who plays Murn in the show, spoke to TVLine and said that the finale would be a real tear-jerker. This, again, could be a hint that someone dies. If James Gunn has plans for season 2, someone like Harcourt or Vigilante might die in the finale.
Well, whatever it is, we just have to wait and find out in the season finale. The show is set to release next week, and I am pretty excited to see how everyone’s arc unfolds.
