Frenchie-Kimiko Shippers Will be Happy with The Boys S3 E5

Frenchie and Kimiko’s relationship has been one of the only heartwarming parts of The Boys. When Butcher and the boys first encountered Kimiko, she was an enraged, aggressive supe. However, in season 3, she’s changed quite a bit, thanks to the love and affection Frenchie has shown to her.

In season 3, episode 5, Kimiko kisses Frenchie for the first time. While we all saw it coming, it did take a little while for the creators to get to this point.

Does this mean they are together now? Also, let’s not forget that Frenchie got kidnapped by Nina right after the kiss. So, will Frenchie and Kimiko properly get together in The Boys Season 3?

Frenchie and Kimiko are officially together. However, how their relationship takes a turn remains to be seen.

We’ve all been waiting for this moment for quite some time now. Frenchie became Kimiko’s safe space and the only reason behind her joining Billy Butcher’s team. We see her mostly talk only to Frenchie and doesn’t trust anyone else much, especially not Butcher.

Season 3 picks up one year after the events of season 2. By now, things are much calmer, and Kimiko has the mind space to think of other things. She wishes to be more human. She wishes to be able to talk, sing, and dance.

In fact, after she kills a Russian mob boss, she detests her powers. This is mainly because the girls inside the room think she will kill them, too, and they’re scared of her superpowers.

In season 3, episode 5, we see her lose all her powers because of Soldier Boy’s energy blast. She feels happy that she’s ‘normal’ again, and it’s a starting point. In an earlier episode, we see how close they are. She wants to get away from this supe business and get a home together.

Later in the episode, we glimpse the fairy tale she wants her life to be. This is in the form of a musical sequence with Frenchie. So far, we haven’t seen the two kiss or engage in anything that’s non-platonic.

However, at the song’s end, she kisses Frenchie for a brief moment, and their relationship is official. We all wanted this, and it has happened. Frenchie is mostly surprised and thrown off guard. He immediately gets up, acting awkwardly, and goes to get some coffee.

However, this cute moment between them lasts only for so long because of Nina. He was supposed to do a job for her that night, and he didn’t. So she kidnaps him.

This couple’s future still hangs in the balance, considering Nina has captured Frenchie and she can practically do anything to Kimiko. In fact, now that Kimiko has lost all her powers, it would be easy for anyone to put her down as well.

I have a feeling, though, that the two will manage to get together at the end of season 3. Both of these are major characters and are currently the only ones with some sort of good going on.

We’ll have to find out what Nina does with Frenchie and how he will be rescued. Will it be Kimiko, Butcher, Marvin, or everyone? Let’s wait for episode 6, ‘Herogasm,’ and we might have some answers.

About The Boys

The Boys is an American satirical superhero streaming television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which was originally published by DC Comics under their Wildstorm imprint before moving to Dynamite Entertainment, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.

The show is a satirical take on the superhero genre and showcases a world where superheroes are corporatized and controlled by companies. What happens when these superheroes step out of line and rub some boys the wrong way, is the story.
