Will Deku Become a Hero Again in MHA: Explained from Chapter 430 

As we know, one of our favorite series, My Hero Academia, will be reaching an end by Chapter 430. Since the spoilers for the series are out, we are able to answer a few questions on the series. Even though the final chapter didn’t give any explanations for all the open endings and mysteries, Kohei Horikoshi didn’t fail to impress the fans. 

Among them is the question whether Deku will become a hero again in My Hero Academia or not. Read along to know the answer explained using My Hero Academia’s latest and last chapter.

Deku’s One for All

Fans are awaiting the final chapter of My Hero Academia from 5th of July. With the dates getting near, we have the spoilers already published. The final chapters of My Hero Academia saw the new students and their encounters with others. Then, the story moved on to show the lives of civilians and Ochako. Among those scenes, we can see Deku using his One for All. 

But later, we see that the embers are fading. According to the spoilers of the latest chapter, MHA Chapter 430, Deku is quirkless again. He doesn’t have One for All anymore resulting in him becoming a teacher. The latest spoilers of Chapter 430 show Deku as a teacher and his talks with Aizawa and All Might. 

How did he get One for All?

Let’s go back in time when Deku got One for All. Even though he didn’t have a quirk, he had the biggest dedication to become a hero. Although All Might doubted Deku a bit in the beginning, he realized that Deku had the heart of a hero when he helped Bakugou. He made Deku the successor of One for All by giving it to him. 

What happened in Chapter 430? 

In MHA Chapter 430, we see Deku as a teacher (eight years later). Even though he is quirkless, he is determined to impart knowledge about quirks to others. This is evident in the scene where Deku talks with Dai after he asks Deku whether he too can become a hero like him and All Might. We see Dai ready to help the kid who stumbled which reminds us of Deku. 

We also see a conversation between Aizawa and Deku as Aizawa instructs Deku to be stricter with his students. He also asks if Deku feels lonely to which he replies that he did feel lonely during the conversation with Fuwa. He realized that he could use his knowledge and experience to help people. 

Will Deku Become a Hero Again? 

There is a chance that Deku can become a hero again, according to the spoilers of MHA Chapter 430. As the chapter reaches its end, we see All Might appearing out of nowhere with a surprise for Deku. All Might brings a support item for Deku, giving him the opportunity to become a hero again.  

When Deku asks about the item, All Might replies that his friend in US and Hatsume developed it. It was funded by the Class A alumnae, specifically Bakugou. At the end of the manga chapter, we see Deku jumping with the support item and also see Shigaraki’s ghost beneath. 

About My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 37 tankōbon volumes as of February 2023.

It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk, where almost everybody is born with one.
