After the Resseruction arc, the elves proved to be least of all problems when an even stronger foe presented itself. With the Devils’ introduction, Asta and others will have to work a lot harder and get much stronger than before.
In the manga, Tabata Sensei has skipped the six-month period where the characters trained, learned about the various power levels, and grew more powerful than before.
Will the Anime follow the Manga and have a six-month time skip?
1. Will Black Clover Anime have a time skip?
Black Clover Anime has returned with a new arc after its short hiatus. This arc will divert from the primary source material to provide the stories with some breathing room and will not have a time skip.
In the Manga, Tabata decided to keep the pace brisk by skipping six months, where the characters trained and grew stronger in order to face the Spade Kingdom.
However, to thoroughly explain and show the training that the characters underwent, the anime will not have a time-skip. This arc will be personally overseen by Tabata and is canon-compliant.
2. What is the current arc in the anime?
After Black Clover’s intense Reincarnation Arc, the main threat was finally revealed as the Devil. However, while it seemed that this was the greatest antagonist, an even more powerful foe revealed himself – Megicula and the Spade Kingdom.
As the Clover Kingdom is weakened after the fights, it has allied with the Heart kingdom to defend itself and attack the Spade Kingdom.
The impending fights will need Asta and the others to grow stronger as the new enemies are not something to be taken lightly.
The Black Clover anime will carry on with an original arc and will diverge from the manga. This current arc will show Asta and other Black Bull members training in the 6-month period that was skipped by Tabata Sensei.
The “training” arc started with episode 132, where Mereoleona Vermillion took several of the Black Bulls for a training session on the Ultime-Volcano Mountain Trail along with members from the Crimson Lion squad.
3. Is the current arc in Black Clover canon?
The current training arc that is taking place in the Anime is entirely canon. While it is true that this period has been skipped over in the Manga in the form of a 6-month timeskip, Tabata himself is overseeing this arc in the anime.
This means that he makes sure that the content doesn’t contradict future events and is compliant with the story.
4. How strong will Asta be after training?
In order to stand a chance against their enemies and even defeat them, Asta and others need to get a lot stronger.
The anime will divert from the manga and show us how the characters are training within the six months that were skipped in the main source material. However, the question is, how strong will Asta get after his training?
[Spoilers from the Manga]
Six months after their training with the Heart Kingdom began, Asta has gotten a lot more muscular and can wield his Demon Slayer anti-magic sword with more ease than before.
He can even use his sword to fly long distances and throw and call it back to him at will. While his control and mastery over it is not perfect, it has definitely improved by a lot.
In chapter 230, we see Asta transforming into his Black Asta form and unleashing anti-magic to cut the building from the spade nation in half.
After the time skip, he has grown powerful enough to take out a strong Spade Kingdom soldier with just one strike.
While he is not exactly at the pre-time-skip captain level, he can definitely hold his own against them and maybe even give them a hard time.
