In the Tournament of Power arc, we saw how Belmod, Universe 11’s God of Destruction, trained Toppo to become the next God of Destruction in line.

This makes me believe that these overpowered Hakaishins must have an age of retirement in their mind when they can just step down from their sadistic duty.

So, it’s only fair for Beerus-sama to choose the capable hands to carry on his legacy as the strongest Hakaishin. I wonder if that’s the reason why Beerus taught Vegeta the art of destruction.

Is Vegeta Compatible to be a Hakaishin?

Ultra Instinct’s zen requirements always came in Vegeta’s way to achieve it. The technique that requires a calm and tranquil heart isn’t something that suits the fierce and explosive nature of the Saiyan prince.

But that’s not the case for the Hakai technique, where Vegeta’s ill-temper acts as the perfect catalyst. You can’t expect a Hakaishin to be calm and polite. Can you?

Unlike Goku, Vegeta loves to pulverize his opponents with a final move without giving them any chance to recover. The Hakai technique may turn out to be the perfect tool Vegeta was searching for.

Moreover, it will really be a treat for the fans to watch Vegeta use Hakai against his opponents.

Will Vegeta be Beerus’ Successor?

In Chapter 71, Beerus gave a Hakaishin earring to Vegeta, thereby showing his faith in Vegeta’s ability. The act more or less confirms that Vegeta has learned the signature move.

Considering Beerus’ current physical status, I don’t think he is retiring any time soon. But if it ever gets to a point where he has to pass on the legacy, Vegeta will be the perfect contender.

Since Beerus has already taken him under his wing, I don’t think there’s any harm in preparing him for the next Hakaishin. After all, Vegeta still has a long way to go before getting the hang of this immense power.

In the Tournament of Power, we saw Toppo giving up on the idea of ‘Justice’ and submitting to the ‘Destruction’ power. Will Vegeta do the same, keeping aside his Saiyan pride? I doubt if he will.

Keeping aside the far-fetched future, Vegeta’s training with Beerus has drastically narrowed down the wide power gap between him and Goku. Who knows, he may even surpass Goku in his upcoming fight against Granolah.
