Tyson Mitchell (played by Jay Will) and Dwight Manfredi (played by Sylvester Stallone) were both shocked by the conclusion of Tulsa King season 2, episode 6, and there is some evidence that shows any of their antagonists could have planted the bomb in the Navigator.
In Tulsa King season 2, episode 6, Tyson had just given his father, Mark (Michael Beach), Dwight’s Navigator when it exploded. When Dwight and his gang discover who planted the bomb, it will profoundly impact Tulsa King season 2. It was a shocking moment.
There isn’t enough evidence to identify a single culprit because the explosion was unexpected. Tyson only saw a white Prius that had been pursuing him all day before the bomb went off, and given the number of new enemies in Tulsa King season 2, the search may be extremely challenging. When they discover who planted the bomb, there will probably be a lot of bloodshed to follow. Any of Dwight’s primary villains could be the culprit.
4Cal Thresher: How His Attacks on Dwight Are Escalating in Tulsa King
Cal Thresher, played by Neal McDonough, is one of the more plausible suspects for bombing the Navigator. Since season two of Tulsa King began, Cal has been attacking Dwight in any manner he can. First, he forced the U.S. Attorney to ensure that Dwight was imprisoned during his trial for bribery.
When that failed, he began buying information from Armand (Max Casella). He attempted to sabotage Dwight’s agreement at the wind farm with that knowledge. He sent some of Jackie Ming’s (Rich Ting) men to the farm to demolish it and halt construction when that failed.
Dwight may be the culprit behind the bombing because Cal has been attacking him since the beginning, but there is also another pattern that suggests he is the culprit. Cal’s attacks have all been getting bigger and more intense. Initially, he attempted to maintain his integrity and persuade the U.S.
Attorney to imprison Dwight. After getting his hands dirty, Cal escalated the situation further and managed to get Jackie’s men, who were seasoned Chinese gangsters, to assault Dwight physically. A car bomb appears to be a logical next step in Cal’s escalation.
Cal has the greatest incentive of all the General’s adversaries to destroy him, in addition to the numerous ways he has previously attacked Dwight. Dwight has become enraged by Cal’s attacks thus far, and Dwight has threatened Cal directly.
The person Cal sent to do the job might have messed up and detonated it without noticing that Mark was getting into the car, and Cal might have escalated to attempted murder just to prevent Dwight from killing him. Cal probably assumed Dwight would be riding in the Navigator that day because he was unaware of the sit-down.
3Bill Bevilaqua: Is he still Angry Over Carl’s Death?
Bill Bevilaqua, the mob boss in Kansas City, is also a strong contender to bomb the Navigator. Dwight and Bill have a tense past, which may have led to Bill planting the bomb.
Bill believed that Dwight should have requested permission before moving west, and he interpreted Dwight’s operation in Tulsa as an invasion of his territory. Then, Dwight rejected Bill’s offer and insulted him during their first encounter. Since Bill had already attempted to kill Dwight, that was probably the best proof that he planted the bomb.
Bill had one of his capos, Carl, perform a hit on Dwight after Tulsa King season 2, episode 3. There’s no reason why Bill wouldn’t have tried the car bomb again if he had been willing to kill Dwight at the time.
In addition, Bill was still upset that Carl was killed and that Goodie had betrayed him. He told his other man he might not keep his and Dwight’s agreement at the sit-down. Bill might only take blood as payment because he didn’t think the deal was good enough to justify Carl’s death.
Bill is not entirely forgiven, even though his attendance at the sit-down may prove he did not plant the bomb. Even before the sit-down, Bill expressed reluctance and threatened to kill Dwight if placed in the same room.
Additionally, Bill employs several individuals, any one of whom could have planted and detonated the bomb during his time in Atlanta. Furthermore, Bill may have targeted Tyson rather than Dwight to exact revenge for Carl’s passing. That would help explain why Dwight was miles away when the bomb detonated.
2Jackie Ming: Is Jackie Ming Ruthless and Driven by Profit in Tulsa King?
Jackie Ming, one of Tulsa King season 2’s relative newcomers, could have planted the bomb just as easily as any of Dwight’s other adversaries. As the head of a Chinese gang, Jackie most likely has experience killing his enemies, even though he doesn’t harbor the same resentment toward Dwight as other characters.
With the money he was earning from Cal Thresher’s marijuana farm and his heroin production, he also had the means and the ability to plant and detonate a car bomb. Jackie might have even singled Dwight out to safeguard his sources of income.
Jackie stated that Dwight indirectly affected his earnings at the weed farm in Tulsa King season 2, episode 6. Only one of Jackie’s guards arrived for work after Dwight and his gang rendered several of his men incapacitated following the battle at the wind farm.
Jackie was concerned that his employees would interpret his skeleton crew of guards and the only man with a battered face as a sign of weakness. Even though Cal was ultimately at fault, Jackie might hold Dwight accountable for the profit snag and want to ensure that the General never has any more influence over his finances.
Jackie Ming’s statements may be the strongest indication that he planted the bomb in the Navigator. As Jackie discussed Dwight with Cal, she said, “You don’t defeat an enemy by using half measures.”
For Jackie, Dwight was starting to cause trouble, and that statement suggests that he would not mind killing the General. Jackie might have been warning Cal about what he would do, but it’s also possible that Cal followed her advice and did the same. Jackie would likely accidentally blow up Mark because he has little experience with Dwight.
1Chickie Invernizzi: Is he Becoming More Unhinged and Still Holding a Grudge Against Dwight?
However, Chickie Invernizzi (Domenick Lombardozzi) is the most likely to make such a significant error. Dwight has been attempting to kill the General since Tulsa King season 1 and has the longest-running and most hateful feud with Chickie.
It all began when Chickie exiled Dwight to Oklahoma after he was released from prison. He then saw Dwight as the final relic of his father, Pete, after Chickie killed him. After Chickie arrived in Tulsa to kill Dwight but left empty-handed after Goodie defected, the two became overtly antagonistic.
Chickie’s mental state is a crucial component in determining whether or not he planted the bomb. He has been on a downward spiral ever since Chickie killed Pete, growing more sloppy and insane every day. Chickie frequently argues with his allies and makes mistakes, such as leaving his ankle gun at the airport.
Chickie might have such severe mental illness that he would attempt to bomb Tyson or Dwight, and he probably wouldn’t even be upset that Mark was caught in the crossfire. Additionally, the fact that Chickie no longer cares about doing things correctly would be sufficient to explain why the bomb missed Dwight.
Chickie’s history also suggests that he might not have been going after Dwight but rather that he might have been actively trying to kill Mark or Tyson. After Dwight humiliated Chickie in season one of Tulsa King, the New York mobster went out and beat Tina Manfredi’s (Tatiana Zappardino) husband to within an inch of his life.
Killing Mark would deal Dwight a severe blow, and Chickie is not above attacking innocent loved ones. Moreover, Chickie was likely upset about missing the Atlanta sit-down, which may have been sufficient justification for him to vent his resentment on Dwight.
Cal Thresher, Bill Bevilaqua, Jackie Ming, and Chickie Invernizzi all appear equally capable of setting off a bomb inside Dwight’s Navigator. Even though that heightens the tension in Tulsa King season 2, it also means that the show probably won’t reveal the culprit until episode 7.
It’s also unclear what happened to Mark and if he’s still alive. But Dwight will not allow this attack to go unpunished, and before Tulsa King season 2 concludes, someone’s head will roll.
