Ashborn was once a Ruler before he embraced the darkness and became the Shadow Monarch. Unlike many of his counterparts, Ashborn was not only immensely powerful but also incredibly intelligent. His ability, Shadow Extraction, allowed him to raise and command an army of undead warriors who grew stronger with every battle. Even Antares, the strongest of the original Monarchs, hesitated to confront him.

Why Sung Jinwoo Is the Strongest Monarch
Jinwoo surpasses every other Monarch in all the aspects that matter. Ashborn himself acknowledged that Jinwoo had the potential to go beyond his own limits, which is why he passed his powers to him. Antares, despite being the most destructive Monarch, was defeated in battle by Jinwoo.

Sillad, the Frost Monarch, was one of Jinwoo’s toughest opponents, wielding powerful ice magic and incredible physical strength. Despite his formidable abilities, he too was ultimately no match.

In Solo Leveling, there is no question-Sung Jinwoo is the strongest Monarch. Antares may have been the most destructive, and Ashborn may have been the most experienced, but Jinwoo surpassed them both.
