Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is one of the best mind-boggling Manhwa that you could get your hands on. It has its expansive universe of incarnations, constellations, and interesting, to say the least, characters and powers.

One such character is the Secretive Plotter, whom we were introduced to in Chapter 7 of the Manga. I quickly started brainstorming on who the secretive Plotter would be.

As there weren’t many characters at the beginning of the manga, suspects were limited, and one character stood out: Yoo Joonghyuk.

Look at all the evidence and uncover the Plotter’s true identity!

Who is the Secretive Plotter?

After the novel’s end, the secretive Plotter’s true identity is Yoo Joonghyuk. After completing 1863 regressions, he traveled to another timeline that contained Kim Dokja’s world, watching over it from the beginning of the scenarios.

The Plotter began life simply as Yoo Joonghyuk; in his 0th round (i.e., his first, original life), Close to his death, he accepted the sponsorship of the Demon King of Salvation. He regressed to learn more about his own identity, the truth of his world, and the identity of his new sponsor.

Yoo Joonghyuk went through 1863 rounds of scenarios after this. Along the way, he discovered that the Oldest Dream—the entity he thought was his sponsor—was the cause of the scenarios’ initial existence.

He was enraged at them and swore to destroy them, knowing that his sponsor was the source of his prolonged agony.

In his 1863rd round, he became an outer god, hoping to acquire the power to break past the Wall and beat The Oldest Dream.

He spent countless years wandering along the various worldlines he’d previously lived through, taking on the title of “Secretive Plotter” somewhere along the way.

How Strong is the Secretive Plotter?

As Kim Dokja never successfully uses the Character List on the Plotter, a complete list of his abilities cannot be made, but he is a regressed version of Yoo Joonghyuk’s abilities.

  • Life Lived to the Fullest: Formerly possessed (0th round). An attribute that fully unleashes the user’s latent talents at the cost of living a fixed lifespan.
  • Demon King: Likely formerly possessed (0th round) due to his possession of the Story’ Demon World’s Spring’, which in Kim Dokja’s original timeline arose by his becoming a Demon King.
  • Regressor (1863rd turn): An attribute linked to his stigma Regression.
  • Ruler of Amusement: The evolved form of the Pro Gamer (Rare) attribute boosts Yoo Joonghyuk’s abilities in any game to the point where Kim Dokja compares him to a god.
  • Iron Blood Supreme King: Gained through the King’s Road scenario.
  • Demon King Slayer: Gained through killing a Demon King.
  • Eternal Solitude: Gained through being the only one to retain his memories throughout his hundreds of regressions, and therefore, having technically lived an eternity alone.
  • Horror of the Stars: Gained through having killed an unknown number of constellations.

In Addition to these attributes, because The Oldest Dream is the Plotter’s sponsor, he also has Regression and Transmission stigma.

What Happens In the End?

When Kim Dokja couldn’t kill the Oldest Dream by killing himself due to Disconnected Film Theory bounding their existences together, the Secretive Plotter emerged from Yoo Joonghyuk’s body.

Because the Oldest Dream subconsciously believed that nothing could stop the Ways of Survival protagonist, the plotter was unaffected by the Probability storm and was able to easily cut through the barrier.

Declaring himself to be the real Yoo Joonghyuk, he broke the Oldest Dream’s mantra of “I am Yoo Joonghyuk” and removed the fables of suffering that held him captive.

The Outer Gods, in turn, appear through Secretive Plotter’s shadow and see the Oldest Dream’s Fables, causing them to understand that the tragedies that occurred were just a boy’s coping mechanism, of him imagining a world where he could be happy.

They decided to put an end to the dream by embracing the Oldest Dream, giving him the companionship and love that drove him to the daydreams and left the subway together.

The Outer Gods later made a final appearance to aid Yoo Joonghyuk of the 1864th Regression in escaping the Hounds, arguing over who should attend Kim Dokja’s school on parent’s day and giving hints that the Oldest Dream is now content to lead a typical, loving childhood.

About Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is a Korean metafictional apocalyptic fantasy webnovel penned by the author-duo Sing Shong. It was adapted into a webtoon by the same name in February 2020, one day after the end of the webnovel.

It follows the story of Kim Dokja, an ordinary salaried contractor, who one day, finds himself stuck in the world of his favorite fantasy novel. The webnovel is called Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World, written by an anonymous author who goes by the name of tls123. Dokja was the sole reader who finished this novel to the end.

When the novel suddenly becomes reality, Dokja is the only person who has unique knowledge of this apocalyptic new world. He knows how the plot of the story ends and therefore has the best chance of survival.

But will he actually survive? Not without changing the course of the story as well as the world as he knows it.
