Queen Alicent has given King Viserys a son, and the kingdom of Westeros is celebrating his second name day. When Viserys is reminded of the losing war fought by his brother in the Stepstones, he simply brushes it away in celebration of his firstborn son’s name day.

Rhaenyra has estranged herself from her father and Alicent, fearing that the day of her removal as the heir is nearing. She expects Aegon Targaryen II to replace her shortly as the king’s firstborn son. Viserys continually makes his wishes known that she marry but Rhaenyra adamantly pushes away any suitors sent her way.

Viserys receives a letter from the Stepstones, written by Lord Corlys’ brother Vaemond, urging the king to send aid to the Stepstones as the Crabfeeders army evades them and Driftmark’s resources deplete. Viserys, upon the counsel of his wife Alicent, sends word to Prince Daemon that the King’s forces will shortly join his brother in his venture of killing the Crabfeeder and his army.

After beating the king’s messenger, Daemon left for the battleground, waving a white flag, showing that he’d rather surrender than accept his brother’s help. But his truce turns out to be a ruse as he singlehandedly slashes through the soldiers that Crabfeeder put in his path.

As more soldiers replace the fallen one, arrows raining from the skies, Daemon cuts through the soldiers to reach Drahar. Things look bleak for the Targaryen Prince as arrows pierce his chest and leg. But out of the mist emerges the rest of Lord Corlys’ forces and the Sea Snake (Lord Corlys) himself, and a renewed vigorous battle commences.

Lord Laenor Valeryon flies on Caraxes overhead, raining fire on the enemy, and the soldiers fight in a bloody fight of swords and spears. Daemon sees Drahar escaping to the caves and makes his way to him to end the war once and for all by cutting off the head of The Triarchy.

Crabfeeder

As the battle wages on, we cut to Daemon dragging Crabfeeder’s disemboweled corpse out of the cave, sealing his mark as the defeater of Triarchy. Crabfeeder’s death gives Prince Daemon the victory he needed to have Viserys rename him as his heir again.

With the Crabfeeder’s death, the upcoming fourth episode of the ten-part TV series will certainly witness Daemon’s return to King’s Landing. He will make a devious play to take the Iron Throne promised to Princess Rhaenyra, even going as far as to frame her with a vile accusation.
